Despair enveloped me. Darkness consumed me. The one light in my world was extinguished; my hope was gone.

His gentle touch, his contagious smile, his intoxicating eyes, were stolen away from me; leaving me with emptiness.

The hole burned my heart, tearing my soul apart. I was drowning in an endless abyss of sorrow. I needed to find relief; I needed to find peace.

Dazed, I inched toward the ledge, trying to escape the pains of life. I felt the adrenaline coursing through my veins and heard the rushing waters washing away doubts.

I smiled; it would be over soon. My life was insignificant before him, and now without him, my life returned to its meaningless hollow.

I shifted my weight onto the balls of my feet, ready for the end. I leaned forward and I plunged off the cliff.

As I fell, I felt freedom and the stress of the world disappeared.

As I plunged into rapid waters, I felt my worthless life slipping away.

As I slipped into unconsciousness, I swear I saw a light.
