Prologue
"Five years. It's been five years since the Mariemeia incident.
After the incident, Quatre went off to run the family business, Trowa
returned to the circus,Wufei joined the Preventers,and I returned to the
salvage business with Hilde. Yeah, it's me, Duo Maxwell. I'm just pondering
over the past five years.Now that I think about it, Heero was the only one of
us that really had no place to go. For awhile he stayed with Relena, then one
day, he up and left with no word what so ever. The only suprise was that he had
stayed as long as he did! It wasn't until the fourth year with no word from Heero
that we really began to worry. Relena organized and extensive search, but Heero wasn't
a Gundam pilot for nothing. If he wanted to remain hidden, he could, and that was exactly
what he choose to do.
As the five year drew to an end, Quatre started planning his Christmas party. Sure, it was
always a blast to attend, but it just wasn't the same without Heero. Anyway, of course the rest
of us pilots always stayed the December month with Quatre to help him with the party and all,
but also to enjoy each others company again. It was one of my favorite times. What made this
party so special happend three days before it was held. Me, Trowa, and Wufei were in the living
room when Quatre rushed in with a piece of paper he had printed off his computer. It was a
simple e-mail of course, but what gave the big thrill was that the e-mail was from Heero!
The e-mail simply stated that he would be coming for the party, and would be bringing a special
friend with him. Now the special friend thing totally threw me off! Had Heero met someone in his
five year absence? We would all have to wait to find out."
