Quick, extremely short, little drabble oneshot. I can't believe no one has ever put 2 and 2 together and remembered that Tom Collins also wants to go to Santa Fe! Anyways, review and don't hate!
"Guys," Jack said, getting the attention of the several boys around the statue in the Square. "I don't think I wanna be a cowboy no more."
They all looked at him, baffled at his statement.
"But Jack," Les piped up. "What about Santa Fe? You can't go to Santa Fe and not be a cowboy, can you?"
"I still wanna go to Santa Fe, kid. I just don't wanna be a cowboy there."
"Well what're ya gonna do there, Jack?" Race asked. "Be a showgirl or something?" He snickered.
"Naw," Jack replied. "I wanna have a restaurant there," he said proudly.
The boys all erupted in laughter.
"Where'd ya get a crazy idea like that?" Mush blurted out.
"You hit your head or something today, Cowboy?" Race said.
"Do you even know the first thing 'bout running a restaurant?" Blink asked.
"Well, no," the ex-cowboy answered. "But it can't be too hard, right?"
"Maybe," Blink offered. "But where're ya gonna get the money for it? You're gonna hafta save lots more than ya have already."
"And I'll do that," Jack retorted. "This is me new dream, fellas. Whether ya believe it or not, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna open up a restaurant in Santa Fe."
Short, I know. But I love Jack's dream to go to Santa Fe, so I thought I'd write a oneshot about it with twist. Reviews are lovely. Story Favorites equally lovely, if not lovelier.
