Laney P.O.V
I sigh and stare out the car window. My twin brother Larry and both of our parents and I have recently decided to move to PeaceVille from our last house in California, because our parents have gotten good jobs here. But thats not the only reason why we're here. My family and I have a secret.
My family are actually a bunch of superheroes, you know, the ones with masks, secret identities, super powers and all that. Every super hero and heroine are born with one gem, or two powers. As they got older, they would develop more powers, and more gems to show them.( Develop powers, sort of like the Winx Club.) But nobody had ever gotten 4 or 5.
I have one gem, but I have three powers. The power of fire, super speed and super strength. So I'm pretty scary when I get angry.
My twin brother Larry shares the red hair and ability to control fire I have, plus one gem, but the only other thing he can do is shoot laser beams.
My mother has two gems, and she can shape shift, mind control, fly and shoot laser beams.
My father has two gems as well, but he has the ability to control fire, super speed, super strength, and he's a hacker. My family's pretty cool, right?
I am sixteen years old and I have bright fire red hair that reaches past my waist, emerald green eyes, ( or so everyone says) I wear lots of green, red and black clothes often,and black knee high boots. In case you were wondering, I have C cups, and serious curves. Where ever I go, boys are always falling for me, which can be kind of annoying.
Larry got the red hair and green eyes as well, and is basically identical to me but he's a boy and he has an eight pack and works out a lot. When we go to the beach, my brother and I are always accidentally attracting random guys and girls who fall for our looks, and it really doesn't help that both of us are pretty good at singing and dancing and how we both know how to play almost every instrument there is.
Anyway, we finally arrived at our house and finished unpacking. So Larry and I head to the park to busk. We sing a couple of songs and play our basses, and when we look up, we've earned about two hundred dollars and a huge crowd screaming for an encore. "Should we, Larry?" I ask. "Let's try Fire In The Sky" he smiles. Soon, as the song finally ends, these two almost identical blue haired people literally launch themselves at us and shout:" WHO ARE YOU GUYS?!" They seemed awed by us so we introduce ourselves and get a better look at them. " Hi! I'm Laney Penn, and this is my twin brother Larry. We just moved here from California." Theres a blue haired boy with the most amazing sapphire blue eyes I have ever seen, and he wears this cool orange beanie. He's actually kinda cute! Next to him theres this girl with the almost exact shade of blue hair the boy has, and navy blue eyes. Larry sees her and seems sort of love struck.
Corey's P.O.V
This is AMAZING! Theres this pretty girl and this guy busking in the park, and they sound awesome! I push through the crowd who gathered to hear them and run up to them, shouting the same question my seriously annoying cousin Carrie shouts. "WHO ARE YOU GUYS?!" the pretty, red haired girl smiles beautifully and- Wait... What? I just called this girl's smile beautiful? And pretty? I just met her though..
Oh wait, she's saying something. " Hi! I'm Laney Penn, and this is my twin brother Larry. We just moved here from California." Carrie introduces herself as well, so I step forward and say: " I'm Corey Riffin, band leader of GrojBand, and I play electric guitar." I look at Laney and add, " I'm also single." She seems to blush. I hope that I haven't offended her though. She's really pretty...
Laney's P.O.V
I smile and my cheeks go warm. Larry steps in between and says, " Dude! This is my little sister you know!" I roll my eyes and thwack him on the arm. " Larry! Relax! A. he was only being nice. B. YOU'RE ONLY THREE MINUTES OLDER!" Corey and Carrie snicker at that last part. They seem nice. Soon, our parents call us, so we exchange numbers and head back home. Larry seems love struck, so I decide to make the most of it and tease him. "Hey Larry, you seem sort of red. Are you okay?" He jumps and quickly says " Yeah, I'm fine... Why?" "Well, you look sort of day dreamy... Has Cupid's arrow hit you?" I smirk, he blushes madly, knowing that I'm talking about Carrie. "H-HEY! They only two people the arrow has hit are you and Corey! Didn't you see how he was looking at you?" I feel my cheeks redden and in the end, Larry and I agree to race each other home. Luckily for me, he was so caught up about Carrie that he forgot that I have super speed. Heheheh!
Corey's P.O.V
I am so excited! Laney plays bass, and knows how to write lyrics! I'm gonna ask her to join our band tomorrow, but I've got school, wait, which school is Laney going to? I'd better call her. So I quickly dial her number and her voice soon comes up. "Hey Core! What's up?" She says."Nothing much. What school are you going to?" I reply. " PeaceVille High. Why?" I feel myself start to smile. "That's the school I go to! Hey, I'll meet you at the school gates tomorrow and show you around if you like!" "Thanks Core! That would mean so much to me! I'll arrive on my motorbike with Larry tomorrow. It's pure black. You can't miss it. Bye Core!" She ends the call and I flop onto my bed, grinning with joy. But my mind soon wanders to something else. The fact that I am hiding a secret. The fact that I am a superhero.
I have one gem, but for some reason I was born with three powers. The powers of water, ice and healing.
My obnoxious sister Trina with the disgustingly rose pink hair can mind control, and she can fly.
My mother has wind control, laser beam blasts, ice powers and elastic powers.
My father has water powers, super strength and super strength. We were sent here by the Super Justice Board to protect this city. I wonder how I'm gonna keep this from Lanes...
Laney P.O.V
I woke up at 6 am and trying not to disturb a dreaming Larry, I tiptoed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my hair. Larry hates when I get there first, because I always take a while. So I always get up earlier.
Larry P.O.V
It was 7 am and I wake up to see Laney packing her bag already. Groggily, I asked her what time it was. " 7 am. You'd better hurry up. You don't want to be late seeing Carrie, do you?" She teased. Okay, now I was confused and embarrassed. "How do you know which school Carrie's going to?" "Oh." My sister blushed, slightly. " Corey called me, and they both go to PeaceVille high." She says, blushing madly. I smirk. We start teasing each other, but in the end she burns me slightly and reminds me that we need to get to school soon. So I brush my hair and my teeth, and thirty minutes later, we arrive at school.
