Cinderella
She spins and she sways, as our wedding song plays, without a care in the world, and I'm
sitting here wearing.. a beautiful dress on my shoulders.
Shay danced gracefully on the floor of our wedding reception hall—The Marriot—as I took her hand and began to lead, so many emotions welled up inside of me. I never imagined in a million years that I, Troian Avery Bellisario, would be standing here, tears streaming down my face, married to Shannon Ashley Mitchell, the love of my life. Now, I stare into her dark brown eyes and kiss her with every ounce of passion that I have.
2 years later
The donor's a nice guy, and I am impressed, she wants to know if I approve of her dress. She
says the procedure's just one week away, and we need to meet with our donor.. but first, we
must dance. So, oh, I will dance with Cinderella, while she is here in my arms, cause I know
something no one ever knew.. oh, oh, I will dance with Cinderella, I don't wanna miss even one
song, cause all too soon, the clock will strike midnight, and she'll be gone.
Today, Shay and I had a nice long talk with our sperm donor, visiting him at his house. He seemed as if he were the kindest guy in the world. Shay smiled the whole way home. I could tell she was already eager to get pregnant. I guess I understand where she's coming from, after all, a baby is one of the most treasured gifts that a person can receive. It just so happens that that gift will soon be given to my wife and I.
9 months later
Well she came home today, with suitcases in her hand, breathing heavy and telling me all she
had planned. She said, Troian the Hospital's five miles away, when we return home we'll
practice our dancing. So, oh, oh, I will dance with Cinderella, while she is here in my arms,
cause I know something no one ever knew.
Well, Today Shay came home from swim practice, and the first thing she did was grab our suitcases from the corner closet. When I asked what was wrong she told me that it was time, and I could not have been more nervous. So, I drove her to the hospital and the two of us got settled in. After a few minutes I called Ashley and Lucy, I knew they would want to witness the birth of their niece or nephew. I could see the fear in my wife's eyes as the pain intensified, and all I wanted to do was take it away, but I was powerless. Soon though, it all came to an end. Shay gave birth to a healthy baby girl. We decided amongst ourselves that her full name would be Ashley Lucille Avery Mitchell, a credit to our best friends. The girls were thrilled and honored, and I told them that was what friends were for. Honestly, I had it all, and I loved Shay with all my heart. I couldn't have been happier.
Oh, oh, I will dance with Cinderella, I don't wanna miss even one song, cause all too soon, the
clock will strike midnight.. but I know, the truth is, our Love will go on.
