Ok well this is my second fanfic for I hope this one goes well. If youwant me to write another chapter you must give me five reviews. So..on to the story.. Disclaimer: I do not own The naruto series, it belongs to Masashi Kishimoto-sama. Summary: A mysterious and overly skilled ninja comes to Konoha and starts a tournament. The prize? A forbidden ninja scroll supposedly passed down by the ninja's family. Oh..and the catch, The ninja chooses who participates.. he says he is only picking the best chuunins and jounins.The Chuunins and Jounins were all pumped..until the tournament was announced to be.. to the death.. Prologue: The announcement It was about 6:00 A.M. Konoha was waking up. The merchants ready to open shop, the young children getting ready for school at the academy, some ninjas resting from missions — and some ninjas getting ready for missions. It was a usual Friday morning. Everyone was excited to end the day and have a weekend off. At the academy only one ninja was currently present. He had tan skin and brown hair in a ponytail, loose strands framing his face, he is said to be the best teacher at the academy. Some never believe he is the age of 18. His name was Umino Iruka. Twelve years ago, he lost his parents to the Nine-Tailed Demon fox: Kyuubi. (A.N. dont you just love it how i change from past-tensed to present? :p) Iruka was currently grading papers while his class still hadn't arrived yet. He took another sip of his coffee before resuming his grading at the usual inhuman like speed. Kakashi stepped into the room, it was funny how Kakashi was late to his usual 'bother Iruka while he is working time'. "Oh Kakashi-sensei, you are late. I would have spilled my coffee and on you for bothering me by now." Iruka said while smiling. "Heheh, sorry I just got the new volume today!" Kakashi said cheerily. Iruka sweatdropped. 'Him and that perverted book.' Iruka thought as he sighed. "This is an official announcement for all Chuunins and Jounins from the Hokage Tsunade. There is an official Manditory tournament for the following Chuunins and Jounins: Hatake Kakashi, Umino Iruka, Uchiha Sasuke, Uzumaki Naruto, Maito Gai, Yuuhi Kurenai, Hyuuga Neji, Haruno Sakura, Yamanaka Ino, Hyuuga Hinata, Tenten, Aburame Shino. All of the contestants are to meet with the Hokage in her office at midnight. Thank you that is all, the announcement now over." The intercom transmission stopped and there was silence once again. "Kakashi..what is the meaning of this?" Iruka asked. " I don't know..but see you in the tournament..and watch your back." Kakashi let out, his one visible eye curved in glee. Iruka sighed. 'Oh well..I'll just ask the Hokage...' Iruka thought. He went to the office and asked for the rest of the day off. They had no choice, because Iruka had millions of sick days and personal days, due to his nonstop working. 'Off to train then!' Iruka thought as he went out of the door.
