Tripp stood in the rain on hand holding a black umbrella as he sat on a tombstone in the murky October afternoon. All he could do was stare at the gravestone in front of his feet. The only one who cared was gone for good....the only one who loved him for who he was...mum

He'd been gone for six months looking for a treasure that would change his and his friends lives forever. Only to find heart ache when Claude's cousin Alexander told him the vile's where long gone. He'd left his mother for six months, which wasn't a real issue. Yes she was human but she was always good at taking care of herself...That is till his father found her.

The police told him she had been tortured first but Tripp knew better.

That drunken bastard ripped her throat out and drank her dry, and he would have done the same to Tripp if he wasn't gone already...

Gone...Yes he was off like a ninny looking for something he wasn't sure if it was real or not while his human mother suffered at the hands at this sick psychopath's hands.

The small pink tears slid down the pale face as his whole frame shook. He knew he should have been home to protect her. He knew he should have at least tried to stop it...but no like his fathers son he was selfish and on his own agenda.

The umbrella fell as Tripp began to weep into his long pale fingers. Drawing up his feed and letting the angry water pelt his body... His mother was gone and it was all his fault.

Wrapping his hands around long bony legs as he cried into his black pants the world was cold, as he let out the anguish of his half blooded heart.

He was soaked to the bone when a strong arm came around him. "She understood..." Came a deep gruff voice as Tripp shook again. He couldn't say anything, his heart ached and his stomach was to weak. The umbrella was picked up now shielding him again but it didn't matter, nothing mattered because the one person who didn't care if he was a vampire or just a half vampire was gone, her love, caring all of it gone.

A thick warm coat was dropped over Tripp's thin wet shoulders as he looked up to meet a soft smile. "She didn't blame you, she understood why you left and she still loved you...if she didn't she wouldn't have let you go..." Tripp sniffed as Rocco gave him a one armed hug. "She just wanted you to be happy and if that meant finding your happiness well then so be it...she could hate you for that." Tripp looked at the grave stone again as Rocco pushed the umbrella into his hand and ducked back into the harsh rain. He slid away a few way ward leaves before setting a large bouquet of blood red roses in front of the head stone. He turned back and smiled before helping Tripp down and helping him into the very large coat.

They walked back down the drive and out of the cemetery in silence. Once finally out Tripp looked at Rocco but said nothing before he rested his head on the large shoulder and sighed. "Thank you Rocco" He smiled his fangs slightly gleaming. "Don't mention it.."
