I walked into the room and saw Mr. Will Shuester, the glee director at McKinley High. All the other gleeks were there, too. I was wearing my navy daisy dukes with my dark green tank top, and a navy and green plaid shirt that was unbuttoned. all the boys looked and smiled at me. I took off my sunglasses and put them in my mocha brown hair with my dirty blonde highlights as a headband. I looked around the room. The was only one hot guy but he had a Mohawk and i like guys with long hair. He nodded his head at me as if to say "what's up" or "you're hot." I popped my gum and smiled at him. It was the first day of school and i was a freshman. "Mr. Shue? We have a visitor," I heard Rachel Barry say. She was my older brother's ex-girlfriend, but she didn't know that. I scowled at her, but she didn't see it.
Mr. Shue looked at everyone, smiled and looked at me. "This is Lexi. She's our new gleek." Everyone laughed except Rachel.
She crossed her arms infront of her. She leaned back in her chair and stared at me. "Can she even sing?"
I popped my gum again. "And what would you like me to sing?"
She put a grin on her face. "How about..." She put the tip of her finger in her mouth. "big spender?"
"okay. Here it goes." I cleared my throat and looked at her hard in the face. 'the minute you walked in the joint,' i sung in my preppy voice. everyone started laughing and so did i. "I'm sorry. I must have had something caught in my throat. Let me start over." I saw her mumble something to the tall guy next to her. they both chuckled. 'The minute you walked in the joint, i could see you were a man of distinction, a real big spender!" I shook my hips in the exact beat of big spender. 'Good looking' I pointed to the guy in the back with the really fancy clothes. 'soo refined' I looked at the guy with the mohawk. He was leaning back in his chair and licking his lips. 'say, wouldn't you like to know what's going on in my mind?' i wiggled my but to the floor and came up as soon as i said mind and poined to my head. 'so let me get right to the point.' i stomped my foot just as i said point. 'i don't pop my cork for every guy i see' I looked at all the guys in the room. 'hey big spender!' i took the tall guy's hat and put it on. 'spend' i took off the hat and rose it farther over my head as i went down then lowered it as i came up. 'a little time with me' i threw his hat back to him and he caught it. I looked at Rachel and smiled. her mouth was wide open. Everyone started clapping. "thank you! thank you!" i said bowing and then laughing.
Mr. Shue clapped his hands, too. "Good job!" Glad to have you!" He looked at everyone else. "settle down!" he pointed to an empty chair and looked at me. I took a seat next to a big black girl and the guy in fancy clothes.
"I'm Kurt," the boy said. I popped my gum and smiled. He held out his hand for me to shake. I looked at it and then back at him.
"Hi! I'm Mercates," the girl next to me said. "You're really good."
She smiled at me and i looked at both of them. they seemed pretty cool. "HI. I'm Lexi."
"Okay guys, I'll see you tomorrow," Mr. Shue said. I stayed as everyone got up and left except Rachel. She stayed after to talk to Mr. Shue.
I stepped in front of her. "Uh. Excuse you!"
"You better watch it. I'm going to steal your spotlight, just like you stole my brother. Well, tha is, until he dumped you." I laughed and walked out of the classroom.
