Its 6:30 pm at night, Nathan was sitting on the couch browsing twitter on his phone and he was bored, he had nothing to do since his 1st year on his school in England is over but suddenly he received a text message from his former classmate Maxwell so he opened the message and read it.

"Hey Nathan I just prepared a congratulating party for you, everybody is coming and you should come too because we want to appreciate all the work that you done on this school. I was surprised that this school got everyone's attention after the competitions that you participate. Just go to the school's gym at 7:30 pm once you're there the door is ready to open by the hands of the descendant of the god Apollo. This is your once in a lifetime experience don't waste it or else you'll regret this."

Maxwell

After Nathan read a text message he felt so much relieved because of how long that he needs to wait to earn their respect and recognition for all the work that he did in his school in order to be known in the public. "IT'S ABOUT TIME took them long enough I'm finally getting on what I deserve all the hard work on this damn school just to get on the radar has finally paid off. I guess I'm going to attend my own congratulating party which Maxwell and the others setting up for me this is the least thing I can do now instead of having myself died of boredom" Nathan thought.

"When I came to this school I just show off everything I got to everyone but unfortunately only the people who worked in school such as teachers, the staff and more especially the principal appreciate the work I exert it when comes to my classmates oh man I never received a single recognition at all not even say Thank You."

"Wait why am I bringing this up this is just the past there's no need to remind me about this crap anymore. I need to suit up and prepare everything I need to do before I go to that once in a lifetime party."

Nathan went to the bathroom took a quick bath after that he went to his room to suit up, fixing his hair, getting things done in no time. He has no second thoughts or any sign of hesitation about the party that he was going to attend. After that he opened his drawer which is located under his desk in his room and grabs the house keys which he knew that his uncle has a spare so there's no need to worry about him going home.

"One last thing is that I need to let Uncle Duncan know that I'm at the party I'm pretty sure he'll understand why" Nathan thought.

Nathan pulled out his phone out of his pocket, typing a message putting the things that he needs to say then sent.

"Hey uncle Duncan I'll be gone in a while because I was going to attend my own congratulating party which is Maxwell and the others set up for me. I'll be home late so there's no need to worry about me"

Nathan had everything prepared and checks his watch to know what time it is but then it was 7 pm and it took him 30 minutes to be prepared for everything that he needs, he still has time to come so he's ready to go. He walked outside of his uncle's house and locked the door behind him. He's going to the school's gym that Maxwell told him to come.

It was 7:25pm Nathan arrived to the school's gym two minutes early he was standing in front of the gym's door. He spent his five minutes checking him just in case that there are no unnecessary things that will distract or disturb him while he was at the party. Before he proceeds to the gym he pulled out his phone sending Maxwell a message to let him know that he's here.

"Hey Maxwell I'm here outside of the gym. Is everyone here?"

Maxwell replied.

"Perfect timing Nathan I can't believe that you actually came here. Yeah everyone is here and they were waiting for you. Don't make us wait too long."

Maxwell

Nathan put his phone in his pocket. He didn't expect them to be here before him. He pushed the gym's door and when he went in. It was all dark pitch black because the lights were off, Nathan can't see a thing as he starts to walk slowly and raises his left hand trying to grab a light switch like he was blind.

He though this is what Maxwell was planning but he's getting suspicious and starting to think that there is someone who was setting this as a trap for him. "Seriously this is a joke isn't it? Come on where's the damn party Maxwell?!" Nathan complained.

After a moment later, the lights went on he noticed that he was on the middle of the gym, He saw a huge crowd surrounds him some of them are blocking the exit and their facial expressions are hostile to Nathan. Someone step out to him which is Maxwell who set this congratulating party for Nathan.

"Well I didn't really expect you to come here besides you definitely know that this is a trap. Oh, wait your big fat ego blocked your senses"

"So, you set this trap for me and you brought everybody here just because this is part of your shit plan isn't it? I bet you're the only were planning this all this time"

"Not just me, EVERYBODY is planning this the whole time. We're just sick and tired of you. You think that you're going to get away with it, do you even know that you're not going to be superior to us on this school forever!"

Maxwell is going to tell Nathan about what is this school was like before him since he didn't know about the school's past and what it looks like to be in that period based on Maxwell's experience.

"Before you came to this school it was a paradise at the time last year is my debut in this school. In the first day of school I was a nobody who was shy, nervous and can't talk to anyone because of my social anxiety then I expected that I will get bullied and nobody wants to be my friend. These people especially Amy who always reaches out to me and they treated me as their friend that I can trust and reach out whenever I need help. It makes me so happy and proud to be here"

"I had a really a good time with them and I made some new friends because of their kindness and openness to each other which makes me want to get out of my comfort zone."

"Yeah, I know this school barely won any competition and it was not meant for competition that you expected it but us still trying to give our best in order to win for everyone in this school."

Maxwell is starting tell his experience during the time when Nathan is here. "I can't interrupt him right now. It's all about the timing Nate, all I had to do is listen to him and think a counter-argument once I had that now it's time to strike back." Nathan thought. Nathan was listening to what Maxwell was saying instead of interrupting him that it will give him some time to think, trying to contradict Maxwell's argument.

"But then you came, I already knew about you Nathan you were one of the top-notch students in the United States of America, during that time everybody was talking about you. They didn't expect a top-notch student from America which this person, I mean you, is also born in England just like the rest of us."

"Everybody will do the same thing to you just like how they treat me but instead you despised us just because you think you were so perfect that these people are nothing but we have to work ourselves to reach to your level just to please you."

"Every single time when someone tries to talk to you or reach out to you and you give them an unpleasant answer. For fuck sake! CAN YOU BE SENTIVITE TO OTHERS JUST FOR ONCE!?" Maxwell said as he gets frustrated that his right hand is tightened into fist.

Nathan finally speak up after all this time that he was listening to him letting Maxwell to tell everything that he has to say just to have time to think of trying to stand his ground.

"Wait so you were saying is that this school is used to be a paradise to you then you have a good life in this school after that when I came here it's like I drag this school to hell. You're treating me like a bloody devil."

"When comes to competition of course I see you guys working I can see the hard work that you guys give. Look here's the problem all you guys do is put some work that's all but you guys don't have a plan or you don't know how to execute it which is ironic honestly it makes me to laugh my ass off on how funny it is. It's like you guys were going to the battlefield without a gun even if you have a gun and you don't even know how to use it or you weren't even aware of your surroundings or you don't know what to do. That's very pathetic if you asked me." Nathan said in a brash tone.

"Seriously Maxwell how stupid can you are?! Forgetting about your past and treating like a burden to you, all you did just pretend that your past doesn't exist. Even you had a good or bad experience in the past it doesn't matter this is part of your life. This is where to find out who you are before you become the person you are today. Dumbass!"

Maxwell was even more frustrated to Nathan after all the things he said to him. He started to remind his bad memories especially on what happened to his friend Amy. "You are the reason why I lost so many friends! Everyone has changed they're not the same people that I used to know except Amy who always there for me."

"You take away everything she loves! She sacrifices her starting position on volleyball to work on the project just to please you. She was very afraid that you will remove her from the group then she will fail that cause her to overwork at the end she ended up in a hospital and you said her work is NOT ENOUGH! YOU FUCKING TWAT!" Maxwell said as he being hateful to Nathan since the first day of school when Nathan expresses his unpleasant attitude to everyone.

Nathan doesn't feel nervous or panic at all but instead he stays calm and rational. He gave Maxwell a big grin on his face just to know that his argument is pointless, invalid and time wasting.

"Amy, that girl is being always absent in important group meetings because she was so busy to attend her volleyball practices but later on she got her starting position on volleyball that she didn't even deserves it." Nathan said with sigh and he face palm as he disappointed.

"One week before the deadline she finally reached out to me just to give her some tasks which I already did my part. The problem is that she forced herself to work for countless number of hours that she ended up collapsing due to over fatigue. She did some work but the quality is shit that's why her work is not enough. Luckily, I accept it and there she has grades now. Happy?"

Maxwell started to feel hurt about what Nathan said about his friend Amy which the only close friend that he has because of his patience and pure hatred he figured out on how to destroy Nathan's cool to make him discomfort by using his own words against him.

"You know what Nathan no matter how long you put some work in order to get this school to get noticed by the public. At the end of the day we don't care if you put your blood and sweat to work but we still going to hate it anyway so your work is a waste. You may have the respect of our teachers even our principal but you never have our respect."

The crowd is cheering on Maxwell after he made a statement when he looked at the crowd cheering at him he realized he's not alone he has some help while Nathan in the other hand he's starting to feel uncomfortable after what Maxwell said to him.

"This prick is trying to piss me off. Fuck this is hurt like hell they'll never understand the hardships that I have been through just to get this attention it will bring big help for the school then this ignorant starting to ignore the fact that I work my ass off more than anyone. Nathan thought as he places his hand on his forehead, he's just having a headache.

Nathan has an idea once again to contradict Maxwell's argument. He will tell something that Maxwell never accept it or even ignoring it like it was not even exist even it's a fact. "Maxwell let me ask you alright. When is the last time you helped her?" Nathan asked.

Maxwell cannot answer his question he froze when he heard this question that Nathan asked. "I knew it! What happened Max can't bark more? Sir I think you need to disconnect fantasy then reconnect to reality my friend seriously for real." Nathan said with a grin on his face as he knew the only thing that Maxwell can't do during a certain situation.

"Here's the problem Maxwell you need to do is listen to me first before you bark at me again. All you do is keep talking trash to me and you think that you're so heroic that you can be a hero of this school making me the villain and at the end, the hero defeats the villain everybody wants a happy ending, who would like that the villain won, of course nobody." Nathan is trying to reason to him. He was trying to prove his innocence to Maxwell.

"You need to wake up! This is reality stop escaping from it. You've never escape reality all you have to do is to accept it. While Amy is working, you motherfucker talking shit to me but then you never even help her not even a little bit because you were so occupied talking trash to me then you realize you forgot to help her."

"All you do is talk shit and not doing shit, my god! I could've used you as an alarm clock but too bad there's no fucking snooze button. You call yourself a friend? I don't think so. What happened Max? Amy is looking for you she was seeking for your assistance but you didn't answer it. What a fucking hypocrite you are!"

"Amy is having a hard time of her life and you just run away from it because you don't know what to do to help her. Now she was in the hospital and she hasn't recovered yet, this is your entire fault your responsibility as a friend."

"When I checked her work, it was rushed and the quality is godawful man she didn't even managed her time. She thinks that she can finish that in one blast. I can't believe your friend can be so damn stu-."

Maxwell punched Nathan with his right hand that he had enough he doesn't want to hear his words anymore. Nathan trying to fight back he thought that he could take down Maxwell by himself but then two boys step out of the crowd approaching to Nathan then they grabbed his arms one boy grabs his right arm and the other one grabs his left arm. It makes Nathan to have absolutely no chance to fight back.

"What? Can't handle me by yourself? You're a fucking twat Maxwell and you know that. You think beating the shit out of me is the answer of your problem. Heh No shit Sherlock!" Nathan said as he trying to escape.

Maxwell didn't say a word as he start to beating up Nathan letting out all of his hate and anger to him that he has been holding it since the first day he met Nathan. Maxwell can't express his hate and anger to him despite that he said to him earlier that doesn't have an impact to him so he rather doing it in action to convey a message to Nathan.

While Maxwell starts to beating up Nathan the crowd starting cheer him louder than ever. After couple of punches and kicks, Maxwell is about to bring one final blow. Nathan barely move a muscle as he endured the pain that he got from Maxwell, he starting to kneel down as he can't stand up due to the pain that he received but the two boys cannot allow that so he forced to stand up.

Maxwell was ready to deliver his final blow to Nathan but he starting to feel mercy to him. "I just…want him to learn his lesson not to have him severely injured or even kill him. Even he was an asshole he doesn't deserve death or any severely injuries that affect his lifestyle. I'm sure Amy doesn't ask for this or even want this, I think that's enough." Maxwell thought as his right fist shaking due to hesitation.

Maxwell put down his right fist as he tries to calm himself down. "Let's go outside boys. I'm just going to give Mr. Burke a farewell message before he leaves his once in a lifetime party." Maxwell gave an order to the boys to bring him outside. The two boys followed his order with no objections.

As They're about to go outside the gym the crowd is starting to celebrate and cheer for Maxwell. The crowd starting to clear out the path for them in order to go outside the gym. Maxwell and the two boys brought Nathan outside the gym Maxwell gave an order to the two boys to let go his arms. So the boys let go of his arms Nathan sat down on the ground because the pain from all the punches and kicks that he received by Maxwell that cause him having difficulties to stand.

"If you planning to stay here at this school and making it in one piece. First, you need to change your shitty attitude or else I won't have mercy on you." Maxwell said as he warned Nathan if he stays the same guy that he knew.

"Now go home or before I changed my mind. Burke." After what Maxwell told him. Nathan stood up and walked away. He was going home slowly as he tries not to run, but then he was starting to appreciate Maxwell's kindness to him.

Nathan managed to arrive home it took him some time because of the beat up then he saw the lights of the house are on, which means his uncle came home. As soon he steps inside the house his uncle asked him "So, have you learned your lesson?"

Nathan was surprised after what he heard from his uncle. "You knew?" Uncle Duncan told him to change his clothes in his room then he starts preparing for ice bags, bandages and other medical supplies.

After Nathan changed his clothes and he turned around looking at the mirror. He saw some bruise on his face from the beating he gets. "Do I deserve this? I don't know what I feel right now after what Maxwell did to me so this is his message... I guess the guy can't express in words." He realizes the hatred of Maxwell on him.

Nathan went to the living room and sat down on the couch then his uncle gave him an ice bag and Nathan put it on his forehead. Uncle Duncan began to speak "Let's have a talk this is important Nathan".

"So, you knew this all this time?" Nathan asked.

"Yes" Uncle Duncan replied. "I know this going to happen ever since your parents sent you to me so I can take care of you. Yeah, you're a great student one of the top-notch students in the U.S. You told me that everybody praises you and appreciates your work."

While Uncle Duncan talking to him, Nathan put down the ice bag then grabbed the bandages and start warping the wounds all over on his body.

"This had me thinking about that when you come to school in England I have this bad feeling that you are expecting the same thing that you're going to get recognition and respect by others just like you back in the U.S., But then it didn't go on your expectations so you're getting thirsty that makes you to force them to praise you and you think that you're the face of this school." Uncle Duncan added as he put his hand on his chin.

"I didn't want this to be true but it really did happen. Look Nathan you're a great kid and you're my most favorite nephew among the rest... I'm always proud of you by the work that you exerted. If you want to get recognition from your work without you being a prick to others you had to lower down your ego."

"I have no reason to talk back I should've just stayed quiet and listen to his on what he said to me" Nathan thought as he done warping the bandages on his wounds and grabbed the ice bag putting it on his forehead.

"Let me show you a demonstration." Uncle Duncan grabbed a tea set then place it down on the table trying to show some demonstration that Nathan would learn from that."

"Want some tea?" Uncle Duncan asked

"Yeah sure uncle" Nathan said in a monotone voice.

Uncle Duncan grabbed the tea pot with his right hand, pouring the tea in the teacup. Nathan starting to noticed that the tea cup is about to overflow on purpose and began to asked.

"Hey uncle the tea cup is about to overflow…. Would you stop pouring it?"

Uncle Duncan stopped pouring the tea cup and put down the tea pot. "Whoops, my bad I overflow the tea cup on purpose"

"You did this on purpose? What are you trying to demonstrate?"

"Listen alright."

Uncle Duncan grabbed the empty tea cup then start pointing it on the face of the tea cup "The front side of the tea cup is your face and the tea cup itself is your head. The tea symbolizes your ego."

"Have you heard this phrase? You're so full on yourself"

Nathan could not respond because of that phrase Uncle Duncan said to him. He starts to realize his actions during his time in the U.S to the present time.

"You're so full on yourself that your own ego blinds you. Instead of keeping yourself on the top of the mountain that no one can climb to the top, it blinded you it makes you walk that you don't know where to go until you fall from the top of the mountain to the bottom."

Nathan starting to frown then he lowered his head and have nothing else to say because of his uncle's demonstration about his situation the things that he did every day on school. In his mind he starting to blame himself for being like a horrible person that no one would want to friends with.

Uncle Duncan starting to noticed Nathan starting to feel the guilt of his actions. After his demonstration he carefully and slowly lifts the overflowed tea cup and drank it. After he drank the tea from the tea cup he placed it down and he was about to cheer up Nathan.

"It looks like you learned lesson Nate. Come on turn that frown upside down listen a few days ago the chief called me and he said I will be working on Japan because they need a good detective like me to solve some cases."

"I thought that I have been sent to Japan for a good reason about specific case that happened on England it would be connected in Japan but guess what I'm going to be their backup for 3 years" Uncle Duncan sighed.

"So, have some rest first then I'll wake you up later. We're going to Japan besides I already enrolled you on a school called Bonyari High."

Nathan immediately raise his head and he looked surprise after his uncle said about going and living in Japan for three years. "Wait uncle can you repeat on what are you saying please?" Nathan said as he trying to clarify on his uncle is talking about.

"Look Nathan we're going to Japan it's not only because the chief ordered me it's because I'm giving you a chance to redeem yourself Nathan. Now it's your chance to start a new life from scratch. A new chapter of your life it's now that's the time to end that chapter and continue your story."

"JAPAN!?"
