Wrote it ages ago. Decided to re-post.
"Empty your pockets." The command was unexspected and caused the blonde to jump.
"Ah. Isshin-Sempai..." He chuckled nervously. "How are you today?"
Isshin Shiba was not amused. "I said empty your pockets, Itsuki. I know what you brought to school today. You know the rules."
Itsuki blinked inocently. "I didn't bring anything to school I shouldn't."
He proceeded to show the older boy. An eraser, a marble, a paperclip, a crumpled up math test, some gum.
Shiba stood with his arms crossed. Watching closely as stuff piled up on the desk. A pen cap, a bloody tissue, a dog biscuit. That caused Isshin to raise an eyebrow. Why the heck would he have a dog biscuit?
A five dollar bill, six pennies, two dimes, a choclate bar, a receipt, some bus tokens. How did he fit all that in his pockets?
Lint, a dryer sheet, a burger wrapper, a couple trading cards, a shoelace, more gum. Shiba shifted slightly, waiting and watching. Where was it? Where was the knife? He'd been told Itsuki had threatened a younger boy with one.
"Well, thats it. Told you I didn't bring anything I shouldn't." Isshin's eyes fell on the backpack and Itsuki looked a little nervous. The red-head grabbed the strap and pulled it towards himself.
Itsuki grabbed the other strap. "Hey! I didn't tell you you could go through that!" A younger teen girl nearby became panicked by the tug-of-war match. She feared a fight would break out, and scrambled from the room with a squeak.
Isshin gave a stronger tug and yanked Itsuki forward. Both boys toppled to the floor, the bag skidding accross the room and popping open. "Mew!" Shiba, ignoring the blonde boy on his lap, focussed his eyes on the tiny ball of grey fluff that came tumbling out of the bag. "A...kitten?"
Itsuki, blushing furiously, leapt up and scooped up the kitten. "Yes. I found her on my way from school. Neighborhood dogs were chasing her." He shrugged. "I couldn't just leave her..." Shiba just stayed where he was. "I can't keep her. I have a dog. So I was going to ask Kaname to take her..."
He absentmindedly scratched behind her ears causing her to purr and close her eyes. "But of course Kaname didn't show today so...I dunno..." Shiba finaly got up and took the small fluffy creature from Itsuki. "I'll take her." Itsuki blinked and scratched the back of his head. "I guess..." Isshin smiled just slightly and petted it's soft fur.
"Uhh...Thanks Isshin-Sempai..." The two boys stood still, not saying another word.
