Never Grow Up

"DADDY! HELP! HELP," young William Peter screamed in terror "THE MONSTERS ARE GETTING ME!"
The Doctor runs in to his five year old son's room to see if they really were monsters in his son's bedroom.
William sat crying in the bed his blond hair so like his father's looking like a bird nest.
"Shush Willy boy," the Doctor said and scoped up his crying child and hugged said child tightly "Just a bad dream Willy boy nothing else, and daddy will not let any bad monster get you."
William snivelled a bit before he asked if he could have some warm milk, which he dad nodded and walked with his son out to the kitchen.
The Doctor placed his son on the kitchen table and started to make the warm milk.
"Daddy, have you fight a lot of monsters?" the young time lord asked
"Yes Willy Boy me and mommy have fought a lot of monster," the Doctor said and gave William a small mug of warm milk.
While the boy was drinking his milk, his father told him about the time he and Rose had saved the English Queen from a werewolf alien.
When William was done with the milk and the Doctor was done with his story, a big yawn nearly dislocated his jaw.
"Oh I think it is time for you to go sleepy bye," the Doctor said and scoped up the child up and walked back to his and Rose's bedroom and placed him in the middle before the Doctor lied down.
"Daddy, could you sing something?" William asked before he yawned.
The Doctor looked down at his son and smiled.
"Sure Willy boy", he said "Which song do you want to hear?"
"The one about grew up," his son answered before he closed his eyes and waited on the song.
The Doctor nodded.
"Your little hand's wrapped around my finger
And it's so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eyelids flutter cause you're dreaming
So I tuck you in, turn on your favourite night light
To you everything's funny, you got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have, honey
If you could stay like that" the Doctor sang softly and watch the young lad already half asleep beside him and Rose.
He could still sometime not really believe that he got his Rose and that he was not alone anymore.
"Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, it could stay this simple
I won't let nobody hurt you, won't let no one break your heart
And no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up, never grow up" he sang the last part and looked down at the boy now fast asleep but Rose had woken up and was watching him smiling.
"Sorry that I woke you up love," the Doctor whispered and kissed his Rose.
"It is okay I love hearing you sing," Rose said into the Doctor's lips.
And so was the little family soon fast asleep, dreaming about all the adventure they would have in the future.
