The Wailing Wall
Its cracks are filled
with messages.
How does God
keep all these prayers
in order?
Little notes
on scraps of paper
blurred with tears
faded and torn
with age,
words pleading
with God
for peace
for war to end
for families
for hope
to be found
in a world
that is
slipping
away.
