This event is NOT canon in my NT Warrior/Megaman X crossover and has a non-canon reference to Warmachine by Renegade Vile. This is a short one-shot test run of my OC villain that I'm working on with the focus being 100% on characterization.
Talbot watched the screen as the video footage showing the members of the "Fangs" raiding one of his many hidden research facilities played before him. It was astounding that someone was able to talk the renegade into working along side another fighter. What amazed him even more was the fact that the other fighter was a young boy who was able to keep up with the warmachine.
This line of thought made him focus more on the boy in question. The child went under the odd name of "Network", having the power to become a powerful fighter when he fuses with an AI program called Rockman. If one was to judge just by his actions, the boy had lost faith in the system to the point of taking the law into his own hands. Oddly enough, much like himself.
Talbot saw himself in the child, even if the child didn't realize it yet. He understood the feeling of when something that should work doesn't work the way it was meant to. But for a human so young to openly call himself a "human maverick" and take on the world like he was took a huge amount of will that most humans didn't have.
It would be a shame to kill someone who held such promise, but he will have to if the boy doesn't learn to stay out of his way. He'll just have to keep an eye on Network and see what else the child pulls while his own forces continued to make trouble for the humans. After all, humans and reploids are too different to ever get along for long periods of time.
Talbot pushed a button to change from the footage he was watching to a file on the upcoming peace event that was going to be held soon. A vile grin formed on his face as he studied the data before him.
"Things are still going my way, even with the Fangs making a few setbacks for me. Sooner or later, there will be nothing anyone can do to stop my goal."
Any honest insight is welcomed since I'm not use to making a villain.
