Rain and wind circled around the iRedemption/i in an angry swirl, tossing waves out and about the ship. Lightning made the night day once again. Thunder and the cries of the crew sang such a sad song above the strong mist of water, and the howl of the wind.
"Cap'n! She ain't goin' make it!" First mate, Keaves, called out above the storm.
Captain Evelyn Rose jerked the helm forcefully to the right, making a fatal attempt to stay on course. Her dark hair flew about and stuck to her face, making it impossibe to see; although the rain didn't allow Evelyn to see her hand in front of her face.
"Cap'n?!" Keaves tried again, and the lightning struck harder than ever, lighting up, for the first time Keaves had recalled, fear in his Captain's green eyes. There wasn't hope.
Robert Keaves was like a father that Evelyn had never had. The old man stood by his captain's side, staring out into the watery oblivion as Evelyn tried to find a way through it. Walls of water came at them and made the crew members disappear, each time a few more missing.
The iRedemption/i gave a menacing tip, and sent a good number of its crew overboard. Evelyn bit her lip and closed her eyes. "I'm sorry, Keaves." Letting go of the helm and letting it spin without control, Evelyn felt something hard on her head before the world swam into a silent darkness.
