Tribute to "The Hunger Games"

It rained all last week, so it's more of a blessing that the sun has grassed us with its presences today. As we make our way to the center of the park, we pass a destroyed playground where children are playing "Hide and Seek". Our place is under the largest tree to the left and as we approach the bark, the next family over greets us. This particular field holds three tall trees surrounded by several smaller ones and as we look around, we notice everyone is laughing and preparing for the feast tonight. Dogs were yipping in excitement, having never before seen each other and enjoying this final outing. Mixed with the scent of charcoal and smoke, a hint of sweetness can be found, the mixture of many flowers and freshly made tea. And as the sun sets, the inhabitants of this field start to quiet down, as if a switch were suddenly turned off. We almost forgot the events of tonight, our last perfect day. Our enslavement starts in the morning, for tomorrow the Games began.
