A/N: This takes place a couple of months after The Tony's. Karen and Ivy friendship est. I can't help it, I like these two as friends.

Baby Names:

Ivy found it very ironic that she was currently having lunch with Karen. It didn't seem like that too long a go when they were arch rivals. Now, they were friends as the odds were. The two former Bombshell alum were actually civil these days. The fact that Ivy didn't want to stab Karen with the knife, well, she'd call that progress.

Karen was ecstatic that her friend was having a baby! All though, she'd admit that deep down, a part of her still clung to Derek like a heart break, and wished that she was in Ivy's shoes. It would be easy to think that there was some possibility with this happening to her with Jimmy but since he hadn't contacted her since he got out, well, she became doubtful that any thing of this majesty would happen to her.

"Do you know what it is yet?" Karen questioned.

Ivy nodded. "A girl."

"Oh yay!" Karen squeed and gave Ivy a round of applause.

It made Ivy chuckle.

"It would be an honor if you'd never that girl after me." Karen was only half way joking.

The blonde across from her let out a sigh. "Please, it's bad enough that my mother all ready wants dibs on that privilege."

"Yikes," Karen flinched for her friend, understanding how crazy Ivy's mother could be. "I'm sorry, how does Derek feel about that?"

"At this point, he's willing to call our child anything but Leigh."

"You could always name her Ashleigh," Karen suggested with a smirk.

"That's pretty, I like that, but it's still to close to my mother's. Trust me, even as a nick name, she will claim owner ship over my daughter, and no way in hell am I going to let that happen." there was a pause. "My mom had a field day with me, screwing me up the ways from Sunday. I'm going to do right by my girl."

Karen raised her glass to that.

As their glasses came together like the sounding of bells, the light bulb went off in Karen's head. "Oh my God," she gushed out. "I got it."

"What?" Ivy asked her after she took a sip of her water.

"Mary Lyn!" Karen cried out. "It's almost like Marilyn Monroe but not really, and with Lyn as the middle name, well, that's all you!"

"Mary Lyn," Ivy repeated with a smile on her lips. She said it over and over again, quicker with each quip. Karen was right, if one said it quick enough, the girl could get away with being named after one of Ivy's icons, keep Marilyn's legacy living on, and a shout out to the show that broke her out into Broadway only to make her a star.

She liked it.

Ivy would swing the idea over with Derek later, and if he didn't like it. Tough shit. She was the one who was caring their daughter inside her for nine months. She had the right to call it whatever she damned well pleased. Besides, she had an instinct feeling that he'd dig it since it was after all, Karen who thought of it.

"Just remember," Ivy piped up. "When ever the time comes, I get payback and helping name your child."

"Ha, only if furry children counts." she mumbled along the lines of something it never coming to be.

"It will," Ivy promised. "And I will be honored if you name your baby after me." she mocked her so she could make Karen laugh which she did.

Karen sang out: "We'll see, we'll see."
