A/N: This is a new story. I might add more chapters if you like it. Bear in mind, I suck at romance, so sorry if this is bad. Enjoy!
Puppy Love
It was a warm day for the fall and the leaves fell to the ground around him, stirring in the slight breeze. Remus sat under the shade of the tree, crying silently. The tears slipped off his face and onto the ground below him. Life sucked, his friends knew next to nothing about him, he had to go through a painful transformation every month, and the person he liked could never like him back.
"Oy, Remus!" Sirius yelled from up on the hill, "We've been looking all over for you mate! Why are you down here?"
Remus straightened up and instantly tried to make himself look presentable and like he was totally fine, but he failed miserably.
"What's wrong?" Sirius asked, looking like a deer in headlights. He really wasn't great with people who were crying.
"It's nothing," Remus said, turning away.
"It's obviously something. You don't cry very often mate," Sirius replied.
"I don't want to talk about it."
He pulled Remus up to a standing position and gave him an awkward hug.
"Listen mate—Remus. I wanted to ask you something." Sirius said, "this weekend it's Hogsmeade…and I was wondering if you might want to…go with me?"
Remus couldn't believe it, Sirius Black, asking him out on a date!
"Are you serious?" Remus asked.
"Course I am. Who else would I be?" Sirius remarked.
"Sure I would, but what about Arianne?" Remus asked, wondering what had happened to the other's girlfriend.
"I dumped her, she was clingy and depressing." Sirius said, "I didn't need that, and besides, I like you better."
Remus didn't think he'd ever grinned bigger. His face felt like it would split with the sheer joy. Of course, he didn't tell Sirius how happy the boy made him. He would play it cool.
"Alright, Hogsmeade this weekend," Remus said.
"Without the other guys." Sirius added.
"without the other guys," Remus repeated.
They went up to the castle in a companionable, but slightly awkward silence. By the time they got back, almost all signs that Remus had been crying were gone.
A/N: Should I continue? Give me a review and tell me :D
