The forest- Alice and Jasper

Jasper's POV
I slowly walked through the trees (well slow for vampires). It was so peaceful. The sun shone through gaps in the trees which made my skin shimmer if the sun rays reached it. Stereotypical vampires in books and movies were never right. They always made us look like the bad guys but most of us weren't that bad. I admit that I used to be bad, hurting people who didn't deserve it. So I ran from it all. I ran until I ran into Alice.
Alice was my world now. I would do anything for her. She may be small but she was beautiful, kind, gentle, smart and loving. I loved her with all my heart, and even though it was silent it would always be hers. And I knew hers would always be mine. We belonged together.
Something fell out of the tree above me and landed on my back. They wrapped their legs around my waist and placed their small hands over my eyes. I smiled. "Hello sweetheart, I smiled. Alice jumped off my back and stood in front of me.
"Hello darling," she smiled. I leaned down and kissed her lips gently. She was my mate and there was no way I was ever going to let her go.
