It didn't take much to convince Charles that they needed 'a day off'. Just the two of them. Erik would drink more than is good for him since he hadn't had a drink for a month and that was all Charles' fault. The 'school' (as Charles liked to call the mansion now) had been declared a strict no-alcohol zone.
So Erik planned to enjoy every second of this Friday night...and maybe getting Charles a little drunk. He couldn't imagine the young professor ever loosing control but Raven told him that Charles had been a pretty 'wild' student.
And now he had the living proof in front of him. It was around 1 am and Charles had a few drinks but was still able to talk properly and order even more drinks. On his way to the bar a young and beautiful blonde woman joined him and they shared a few words. Erik recognized her as one of the women that had been leering at Charles the moment he stepped into the bar. Both he and Erik had gathered looks the whole evening but Erik only had eyes for Charles. And he was pretty sure that Charles didn't even realize the attention he caused.
The drinks were handed to Charles but he didn't walk straight back to Erik, instead he replied something to the woman who in return laughed. There was something in her eyes that made Erik very angry.
Why did Charles talk to her? Was she so interesting? And why was there this smile on his lips that made everyone fall in love with him within seconds?
Erik felt the anger rise inside him and felt the power in his veins. He lifted his hand under the table and with a quick move he brought the bar chair the woman was sitting on to fall. Unfortunately she didn't hit the hard floor as Erik planned. She was saved by a young professor with amazing eyes which were now focused on the angry mutant.
Erik! He heard the accusing voice inside his head.
Let. Go. Off. Her. came the silent answer back.
Charles realized in confusion that he was still holding the blonde's arm which he had grabbed to safe her and immediately let go. The women blushed and maybe thought that Charles was embarrassed by holding her, but the dark-haired man just apologized to her and turned to grab the drinks and headed back to their table where an upset mutant was waiting for him.
"You shouldn't have done that." he said but there was an amused sparkle in his eyes.
"She deserved it. She was rude, intrusive and annoying."
"I didn't know you are the jealous type."
"I am not jealous!"
"Oh come on, Erik. I can read your mind and I could see everything you imagined to do to her if she went any further. Flirting with me seems to be a life-endangering thing these days..."
"I didn't meant to kill her."
"No, you just wanted her to suffer."
Erik averted his gaze. There was no point in denying anything. Charles could see right through him. Sometimes even without his powers.
A sudden laugh escaped the other man's lips.
"What's so funny?" asked Erik surprised.
"Nothing. It's just...your jealousy is kind of...flattering." The red blush on Charles' cheeks told Erik that he was telling the truth and now he regretted the fact that they were in a public place.
"Do you want to go?"
"Stop reading my mind!"
"But I like what I see~"
That was enough. Erik stood up, put some money on the table, grabbed Charles' vest and dragged him out of the bar.
"Where are we going?" asked the telepath but Erik could tell from his smile that he already knew.
