Rachel Berry doesn't cry.

Ever.

She doesn't know why. No one does.

But she's never cried a day in her life. Not once.

Not when her pet fish, Idina, died.

Not when she got that tiny paper cut on her thumb last week.

Not when she dropped her math book on her toe yesterday.

Rachel Berry just does not cry.

She sobs.

(She always has been an over achiever.)

She can't remember when she's ever just shed a few tears.

Full on, shoulder shaking, breath hitching sobs.

In daycare, if she wasn't given the exact toy she wanted, when she wanted it, she'd wail so loud her lungs would hurt. (Which would send her into another fit.)

In first grade, if she wasn't picked to read out loud, she'd have to go in the hall way until she could calm down.

When her daddy spilled juice on one of her prized Playbills, she locked her door, and sobbed for a half an hour.

Eventually, people just learn to give her what she wants.

Until she enters the big bad world of high school.

There they just don't care.

She's ridiculed, shoved in hallways, and slushied.

When she sits in a bathroom stall sobbing, it makes no difference.

High school brings her more and more tears.

Between snobby cheerleaders, and arrogant football cheerleaders, shes spending more and more time in her room with the music blasted, sobbing into her pillow.

When her and Puck end their short, bittersweet relationship, she sobs. (And she doesn't even like Puck like that.)

When Kurt goes on an hour long rant about her horrible fashion sense, she goes home and cries. (Even though she pretended to be completely indifferent about it while he was making his speech.)

So, when the truth is out about Quinn's baby, and Finn rejects her once again (in an extremely rude fashion, she must say), she cries harder than she has for awhile. She beelines to her room, pops in a mood CD (she has 27, at the moment. One for each of her moods.), and collapses on to her bed. Her shoulders shake, her face swells, and her breathing comes in short choppy breaths.

This starts at 4.37 PM.

She stops at 4.53 PM.

She starts again at 5.01 PM.

Stops at 5.13 PM.

Starts at 5.18 PM.

Stops at 5.47 PM, needing one final moment(s).

Then she pushes herself up, slams the off button on her radio, and splashes some cold water on her face.

Rachel Berry has had enough.

The Football players are brainless jerks.

The Cheerleaders are immature sluts.

Puck is an asshole who isn't worth her time.

Finn doesn't deserve her.

Because she's Rachel Berry.

And Rachel Berry does not cry.
