[AN: Hey guys, this is my first try at a fanfic. Enjoy, and constructive criticism and/or flames are welcome! My chapters will get longer as time goes on, and I will try to upload them fast!]

C POV:

I was falling. Soaring through the sky... falling too hard... falling to fast. I felt my consiousness flutter away from me as fast as I had gained it, stolen from me by a unknown force. [AN: Me again. If you have any thoughts on who the character's name should be, tell me! I think that C would be sufficient for now... Also polling for a name for the next character, also a gender. I am thinking boy, so that this can be a loooooove story! 3 Meh, I shall use Sam for now. My boyfriend wanted to be in one of my books...]

Sam POV:

I thought that this hike would be a ordinary one. I was, needless to say, surprised when I saw a figure blotting out the sun, airborne and soaring towards the ground. Stunned, it was a beautiful as it was horrible, with shadows flitting across the ground like dancers in the harsh wind. I winced as the unknown entity hit the ground with a sickening thud. It... whatever it may be... can't be alive. Suddenly I saw the figure shudder, and I jogged over I was aghast... nothing could have survived that fall. Yet here was proof...

C POV:

A groan escaped my lips as I struggled to sit up. My whole body ached, and my eyes blurred as I strained to see the figure staggering over me. Before I lost conciousness yet again, I can remember seeing... a face. And then nothing.

Sam POV:

As I towered over the cowering bundle, I noticed he... or she... tremble and try feebly to sit up. I felt a pang of empathy towards the being, but before I could act the person let out a cry and their eyes rolled back and their shoulders slumped. That is all I can remember before panic took hold of me.

C POV:

Darkness. I can remember a blazing light, searing itself into my mind. But then... pain. And the darkness took hold. My memories flew away from me like restless birds I was unable to cage. With a sigh, the night took hold of me again, and I fell asleep, sinking under the waves of lethargy.

Sam POV:

I perched the figure, what I had, by then, identified as a girl, on a rock with great effort on my part. I tried to tug the hood covering her off her face, but with no avail. I struggled and then gave up, as it was unambigous that I could not get it off. I sighed and sat down beside her, unsure of what to do next. She was breathing, albeit shallowly, so I figured she would be all right...at least physically. True, there was a bush to break her fall, but she recieved a hard knock to the head... who knows what mental state she would be in when she woke. I felt like I needed to make haste to help this girl, the desire to do so was what puzzled me. Why was I so eager to help this girl, whom I did not even know? Maybe it would have been easier, to let her lay there, collapsed in the dirt, but I am known not to take the easy way out...

[AN: This sucks, but I am still gonna try. If you like it, please R&R. Please! If you don't like it, I can say the same. Meh, my writing seems depressing now that I am looking over it... *posts* Deal with it :D
