Bones was sitting in Booth's living room when the tears of overwhelming sorrow had began to pour down her face as she sat there thinking of Vincent's death. She kept on thinking of how he had lain there asking her to not make him go. It broke her heart to know that he thought that it was her that was making him go. Right now, all she wanted to do was to go into Booth's room and ask him if he blamed it on her too. She knew that it was highly irrational to think like this, but that didn't stop her tears from flowing down her face.

"Don't be a coward," she whispered to herself as she hesitantly stood up and crept over to his door.

She opened up the door and she imidiantly realized that waking him up was a stupid thing if he had a gun right next to his bed. He didn't shoot, just cocked the gun and pointed it to her in a split second before relising that it was just her, and slowly putting the gun down.

After Booth explained to her that it wasn't her that Vincent was talking to and that no one blamed her fir the intern's death, Bone laid down on booth's chest as he held her and comforted her. What she really didn't expect though, was when Booth reached down and kissed her lips.

It wasn't that that took her by surprise though. What really got her was her own reaction. She kissed him back with more passion then she had ever kissed someone. As they laid there kissing, They both realized something about themselves. They didn't just love each other, they were in love with each other. As they would be when 9 months later, they brought their baby into the world, but that's a whole other story. One that will be told another time.
