"You promise?"
"Yes."
"Swear?"
"Yes!" the spiky haired blonde, blue-eyed boy said to you. You were both sitting on the Tower, sea-salt ice cream in one hand, and a hand in the other. Roxas, the boy you've loved ever since he first said the words, "Hi, I'm Roxas" to you when you were all alone. He was your Guardian Angel, your other half, your soul. Now you knew, he loved you back.
Flashback
"Hi, I'm Roxas."
"um…hi. I'm Nikki"
"Why are you all alone? You look so sad."
"I don't know…..no one talks to me cause I guess I'm new….."
"Oh….well, I'll talk to you!"
This was your first meeting, you were only in first grade, and you were new to the school. Roxas became your first friend. Soon after that, you met Olette, Pence, and Hayner. Olette became your closest confident, and Roxas your protector.
Flashback change
Your first boyfriend, a popular guy who wasn't who you thought he was. You found him kissing another girl, and now you were sitting in the rain, alone and heartbroken.
"Nikki?"
"What? Oh sniff hi Roxas…."
"What's wrong?" Worry evident in his voice, and eyes. You noticed just then, looking at them, that they were the color of rain, or at least the color you would imagine rain, or deep ocean. They were beautiful.
"Nothin sniff just that stupid jerk of a boyfriend was kissing another girl…"
"He WHAT?!?! No one does that to you! I don't even know why he would! You're the prettiest girl I've ever met!' Realization came into his eyes and he turned his back to you, but not before you could see him blushing a very deep shade of red.
"You….think I'm pretty?"
He turned to you then, and looked into your eyes. He gazed into them for a moment, and you gazed back.
"Do you want me to think that?"
"What kind of a question is that? I can't control what you think."
"I would still like to know."
"…..well…..yes….yes I would like it…" And you knew you were speaking the truth.
He looked at you then, and smiled. Before you knew it, his lips were on your cheek, then he was gone.
Flashback End
Two days after that, he was gone. Even though you knew that something was missing, something very important to you, you could not pinpoint what it was. The harder you thought, the farther away that thing felt, until one day you went to the tower, and you remeberd.
"Roxas…." You looked out at the sunset, and suddenly felt angry and sad. You threw the sea-salt ice cream over the edge of the tower and screamed, "DANG IT ROXAS!!! YOU PROMISED!!!...you swore….."
"Hi. Why are you all alone?"
You turned around, and the anger and sadness you felt, melted away, but not enough.
"Where did you go? Did you think I would forget?!? Did you WANT me to forget??!!??!!"
With every word you yelled, he took a step towards you, until you realized, you were close enough for your noses to touch. Then, you kissed, and it was the kiss you were waiting for, ever since he beat up that kid that called you ugly in the third grade.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
And you both smiled, as one heart, and one soul.
