Another drabble. SuiSasu this time. Obviously, this is a little later than the show, 'cause in the show it's 3 years away from Konoha.
Reasons
Suigetsu is aware of just how long a time 5 years is.
5 long years away from the place you were born is longer still.
When Sasuke falls asleep, either on the street, in some tavern corner or an actual motel room, while Suigetsu strokes his hair or whispers things into his ear Sasuke wouldn't let him whisper when he was awake, he squints his eyes and tries to imagine being away from the place you were born in for 5 years that wants you back, and still stay away.
He likes to pretend he's the entire reason Sasuke stays.
