It was just a normal day. Percy was strolling to dinner when Piper ran up to him. "Hey Percy", Piper said. "Hi Piper". Piper said "I have something to show you." Percy asked "What is it?" Piper replied mysteriously: "You'll see."
When they reached the Aphrodite cabin, Piper opened the door. Percy stepped in. Piper closed the door after him. Percy turned to Piper and said "What was it you wanted to show me?" "This" Percy looked at her. Then Piper did something she learned to do well. "Sleep, Percy", Piper commanded in charmspeak. Percy blinked twice then sagged to the ground.
That night, Percy had a nightmare. He dreamed that he was being yelled at by Piper. "For what?" Percy cried out. "Why?" Then Percy woke up. Piper was looking down at him. He looked around the surroundings. Apparently he was in the infirmary. "I know that you are probably very confused right now" Piper said, "But I'm not going to answer those questions." "But why?" Percy asked weakly. He still felt dazed, and had a pounding headache. "Fine, I'll answer that" Piper replied.
Piper walked up to Aphrodite. "What did you want?" Piper asked. Aphrodite replied "I really want Percy Jackson. So I need you to bring him to me. He won't come willingly, so use force. If you fail, I will set a bounty on him." Piper said "Okay, I guess I'll do it."
"So that's why?" Percy asked. "Yep" Piper replied. "Well, what happened." "I charmspoke you and then pretended you and I were dueling in the arena when I knocked you out with an unlucky sword stroke. They decided to take you to the infirmary, because of the convincing lump on your head." Percy felt his head. There was a big bump. "You got that when you fell to the floor." Piper continued "I plan to take you back to the Aphrodite Cabin and leave you there. My cabin mates will understand." "How will you get me there?" Percy challenged. "Oh, that's easy. All I have to do is charmspeak you into saying you feel better. And I can wipe your memory of that situation so you don't remember it." "How will that help?" "It will make it so you can't give away what I am doing. Now, from now on, you won't remember what is happening." Percy experienced a sensation like he was falling asleep. Then he blacked out.
