A/N - So this is another short one-shot inspired by another one Vampy6667's picture (again, it's over on deviantART, it's worth a look, simply amazing work like always) I just couldn't resist writing someting for it, bacause it's so sweet and sweet fluffy stuff is just something I love.

Nearly nothing was visible from the window, snow blocked even the nearest house from view. Fenris shivered, he hated cold weather. Not even blankets could make him warm. But it wasn't just how cold he got, but the thoughts that came along with it. Danarius never gave him warmer clothing whenever he was told to be outside, so he had always nearly frozen to death.
He felt a hand touch his shoulder and looked behind him, only to see Garrett Hawke standing there. The mage was softly smiling at him.
"I'm going to guess that you're freezing." he said. Fenris just gave a nod. "Well then," Garrett snapped his fingers and the fireplace was lit. "Guess it's a good thing I'm a mage, isn't it?" he took a seat next Fenris with another smile.
"Where have you been, anyway, Garrett? I asked Bodahn and he just said you had gone out." Fenris asked. Garrett shrugged.
"Out. The champion doesn't exactly get a day off. Especially when Meredith and Orsino can't shut up and stop bickering. Maker forbid they get along for a day." the mage shook his head. "But, problem solved. So, how long have you been sitting here? And how long have you been freezing?"
"A few hours I suppose. As for being cold, since the blighted snow started. Why?" he answered, shivering again. It was so damn cold even now that there was a fire in the fireplace. He hated it. Garrett noticed and pulled him close.
"No reason." Garrett whispered. "You just seem freezing. Didn't know you didn't like the snow. Or...is it reminding of before?" it was silent for a few moments before he spoke again. "I'm sorry. But I'm here if you need me, alright? I always will be. And I'll make sure you're warm, how's that sound?" Fenris didn't answer in stead he snuggled up to Garrett's chest and closed his eyes. Garrett just smiled slightly and shifted the blanket, still hold his lover close.
