Say I Love You
Disclaimer: I do not own Say I Love You. I'm only writing this for pleasure not profit.
AN:The poem was inspired by the story, but does not completely go with it. The reason the poem looks strange is because it was originally the boy left-aligned and the girl right-aligned. The editor or whatever you want to call it won't let me do that, and so this is how I had to put it.
He was as alive as a possum on a Texas highway
Yet he fell for a girl for the first time on that day
She was as interesting as a ceiling fan
Despite that she captivated his attention during a scan
He was as silent as a song
To just ask her out would take way too long
She was as lost as a river
That silent stare made her quiver
He was as confused as a group of Romney supporters
Only after he took her first kiss she implied whom she prefers
She was as graceful as a drunken fly
When proclaiming her passion after a lie
His embrace felt like diving into a sunny day
When he went to say I love you to her at the end of May
