There Is A Time And Place For Everything

Sometimes when he had nothing better to do or had the occasional pricks of nostalgia poke at him, it was then that Kiba decided to visit their old school. He was a chunin now, but he couldn't resist the urges now and again. It was the place he'd grown up in and had gotten to know all his present day friends at. From the bashful Hinata to the boisterous Naruto, the school was a precious memento of his childhood. Today was one of those days.

The floorboards creaked slightly under his weight, but he felt it had been a good decision not bringing Akamaru with him. He had gained some weight these days after all. As Kiba walked through the halls, he realized everything looked and felt much smaller than what he had remembered it as. The chairs, the desks, even the doorways and stairs. But there was a surprise waiting for him when he entered his old familiar classroom: Shino.

Curiously, he wandered over to the bug specialist who was slouched uncomfortingly in a desk and peered down at him questioningly. His hood was down and his mouth was gaping slightly, breathing gently and controlled as if sleeping. It was a mystery though; Shino wasn't the type to get sentimental over a relic of his past nor was he the type to fall asleep in said relic of his past. Thinking it wouldn't hurt, Kiba cautiously lifted his hands towards Shino's shades, figuring if he were awake then the Aburame boy would stop him before he'd get them off. But no hand or swarm of bugs intervened him as Kiba firmly took hold of the lenses and slipped them off without a problem.

For a long time now, he had pondered about what lay under Shino's layers of hoods and shades and what he had found in the end was nothing more than a fairly attractive face. Kiba then wondered what colour of eyes Shino had. Or maybe what expression he'd have on when he'd wake up and find his typical defense mechanism had been robbed? It was exciting, and Kiba grinned. But at the same time, he felt a different thought overcome him and he wondered a little slowly what it would be like to kiss him. He'd been having some thoughts about Shino for a while now, and there was never a chance better than this.

A bit unsure, Kiba bent down until he was at the same eye level as the bug specialist and lightly met his lips with his, which were soft and tasted of fresh fruit. He inched away his face after a moment and exhaled a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. Quietly, Kiba placed the glasses besides Shino and exited the room, never noticing that he had in fact, been awake the whole time.
