Disclaimer: I, unfortunately, don't own Harry Potter, and thus, never will. This Disclaimer will cover all of the other chapters.

A/N: This story is for Devin, Sancheev, Mitchell, Brendan, Patrick and everyone who inspired me to actually get this story typed up instead of moping about for days on end, without actually doing anything to it. I'd also like to thank me for getting bored and thus having inspiration to type this thing! But, as you readers are probably yelling at me to get the story started before I go into a rant, here's the story. Enjoy, Hermione fans!

Hermione's Letter, Chapter One: Accidental Magic
An eleven year old girl with bushy brown hair, chocolate brown eyes, and an amazing intellect, went by the name of Hermione Jane Granger. She was sitting outside, on the porch steps of her lovely little two storied blue house, when she saw a very peculiar tabby cat walk by. It stopped and stared at her, and then merely passed her by. Hermione, being very observant, noted that this cat had strange markings around its eyes. 'Probably a stray.' She thought, 'Mum and Dad surely wouldn't want me to go over and pet it.' However, she quickly pushed away this thought and went a bit closer to see it. She noted, with surprise, that the strange eye markings really were like spectacles. The eyes were green, which reminded Hermione of the writing on the envelope she had received that morning, which unfortunately, was currently in a garbage can, all ripped up.

Flashback

The school bully, Olivia Hornester, had seen a yellow letter sticking out of Hemione's bag. Since the girl she was picking on wasn't popular she decided to make her school day end badly. Thus, she grabbed the letter, and then, Hermione, who wasn't aware of this, heard a voice. "Aww, does ickle Grangy want her widdle letter?" The voice cooed. Hermione instantly turned around, only to be met with one of Olive's goons holding her tight, and try as she might, she could not get free of the goon's grip, no matter how much she wriggled or squirmed. Olive was holding the letter in the air, and then ripping it up, but as she ripped it up, so it was in tiny pieces, there was a great 'bang!' The front doors, along with every other door and window in the school that led outside flew open. The sound was deafening, and many students clapped their hands over their ears, but to no avail. A great wind began to blow, blowing faster than everything Hermione had ever seen. The pieces of the letter that were in Olive's hand blew away, as did some of the lightweight students in the school. Hermione, her eyes flashing with rage, ran out of the open school doors, for the wind, strangely, had absolutely no affect on her. She ran, and as the wind died down, she could faintly hear Olive shouting "I'll get you for this, witch! You're going to pay!" She ran home, breathless and shedding tears of fright. Little did she know, there was a cat running behind her, the very same cat she would see, later that day.
