Description: This is a poem that came to me when I crawled into bed this morning. My eyes were closed not even ten minutes when I leaped out bed and dove for my trusty pencil and note book. Once I scribbled this particular poem down, I had to sit and think. I wanted to find a character from the show that this piece best related to. This poem is in relations to Jackie and Kelso's final break-up at the end of season four. More details inside.
Disclaimer: i don't own any part of That 70's show. But you know that if i did, i would cut out the 8th season because randy and Sam ruined the show and Jackie ending up with fez was the nail in the coffin for it to me.
Authors note: when reading this poem, try to place yourselves into Jackie's shoes at the end of season four when Kelso took off to California to get away from marrying Jackie. For those who recall Jackie mentioning a break-up letter that she wrote to Kelso after their final break up, this poem is sort of what persuaded her to do so therefore it will be best perceived through Jackie's eyes.
No Longer
No longer will I think of you
I said it so it must be true
No longer will I think of you
Not at random nor in the blue
No longer will I think of you
I remind myself once each days through
No longer will you cross my mind and tie my heart into a bind
It will not happen, not this time
No longer will I wait for you
To thy own heart I must be true
No longer will I wait for you
Please understand it's me not you
No longer will I wait for you
This does not mean our friendships through, lord knows we met in middle school
No longer can I wait for you to return those feelings I once knew
I can no longer wait for you
I'm sorry to say this but it seems we're finally through
