Cramped Little Sleeper

Cloud arched his back and stretched at his computer desk, closing Windows and yawning.

He noticed that YouTube was still up, playing one of his brother's weirder songs.

His brother.

"Crap!" He whispered, realizing that a pair of black earphones was still plugged into the laptop.

Roxas been using Cloud's laptop for who-knows-what when his brother had come upstairs mid-afternoon to work on a paper for his history course at university, and so unceremoniously dumped him to the floor for use of the computer.

"Cloud!" Roxas shrieked, rubbing the back of his head. "What the heck was that for!"

His older sibling shrugged. "Gotta use it, kiddo. I didn't wanna waste time arguing with you either."

"Don't call me kiddo…" The shorter blonde grumbled to himself, walking around to the other side of the desk. He jammed the plug end of his earbuds into the side of the laptop before flopping down out of sight. "I'm not gonna move until you leave, Cloud," He called.

That was at least three hours ago.

The eldest Strife child stood up, disconnecting the cord for Roxas' music. He gathered the carelessly strewn note-papers into a neat pile, and sauntered to his baby brother's side of the desk.

He chuckled a little bit.

Roxas was curled up under the wooden lip of the desk; his head snug against the wood and arms wrapped around his knees.

"Roxas…hey, Roxy…" Cloud whispered. He pried his cramped-up brother gently from his spot wedged tightly against the frame, and scooped him into his arms.

Last night, Roxas had spent the entire evening playing video games with his torturous best friend Axel.

All. Night.

Cloud had only seen the pair for maybe half an hour before they disappeared into the basement. They hadn't stopped for food except possibly at 2 o'clock that morning, which is when Cloud had heard rustling in the kitchen.

So it was understandable that baby Roxy was dead tired.

The college student padded up the stairs to Roxas' room, tried as hard as possible to not dump him on the bed, and covered the small blonde with one of the thin blankets from the floor.

Just as Cloud passed through the doorway he heard Roxas' sleepy voice call, "You…you off the cm'puter yet…?"

Cloud shook his head.

Oh, Roxas.
