Grissom was on his way back from a 419 4 miles from the crime lab. He sat is his Denali, shades on, blocking out the morning sun. He thought of Sara, but he knew he shouldn't. every time he let his mind wonder, he slaked on work, missing key evidence, forgetting things… ect. He had to focus, and, as much as he hated the idea, the only way to focus was to get Sara out of his mind. He sat in silence for 3 minutes, before reaching over to the radio and switching it on. 'This'll be a great way to get Sara out of my head.' He was wrong.

Grissom lent his head back, hitting the head rest. "Dammit, I can't even listen to a song without thinking of her." He sighed, before flooring the gas pedal and driving down the road next to the desert. He looked out of his window, his mind replayed memories that he'd much rather forget. He pulled over. He walked over to the spot that, less than two years ago, sported a battered red car. He sighed again. Walking back to his Denali, he heard a sound, like a grunting, whining, semi-silent pleaing. His mind played that day over and over, the worst and best day of his life. 'She's a survivor.'
