Prompt: Can't Fight This Feeling.
Goyle walks out of the Slytherin common room, annoyed that he has slept in through breakfast.
He should not have taken that midnight snack break last night.
This means that he will have to starve until lunch, and he doesn't like this.
He does not like this at all.
On his way to class, he sees Luna Lovegood.
Luna Lovegood, walking gracefully down the hall.
Luna Lovegood, her shiny hair waving down her back.
Luna Lovegood, with an apple in her hand.
A scarlet, shiny, juicy, beautiful apple, and she is just about to bite it.
"Luna!" he calls, and she turns her head to him as he runs up to her.
"Hello, Gregory. Are you on your way to class?" she asks him.
He is stunned, as usual, by her casual use of his first name, but he ignores it, also as usual.
It gets harder to fight it each and every time they talk.
"Yes," he replies. "Are you going to eat that? I slept through breakfast."
"I guess not," she says, pulling out her wand.
"Er...What are you doing?" he asks nervously.
She isn't going to hex him, right?
Luna mutters a quick spell, and suddenly there are two apples in her hand.
"Woah-How did you do that?"
"Multiplying charm," she replies, handing him one of the apples.
"Thank you," he says, and realizes that this might just be the first time that he has thanked somone willingly.
Because he wants to, not because courtesy forces it.
His stomach seems to twist a little, and he tries to tell himself that it is the starvation setting in.
But he can't, there is a brick wall set inside him that says that this is a lie.
"This is my class," she says, heading through a door on their right.
Goyle realized that he has no idea where his class is, from here at least.
But he doesn't really care.
He simply walks away, trying not to feel the loss of her, but he fails again.
Not just because he can't fight it anymore.
He doesn't want to, either.
