An angel sat in the clouds looking down on the Earth below; he had short black hair and freckles on his face. Most people on Earth would want to be in his place, with all the titans and food shortages, the want to live in bliss with God. But not this angel he longed to be on Earth with his friends and most importantly Jean. "Thinking about that friend of yours?" a female voice called from behind him. He turned around "Oh Miko, you scared me" he said. A girl with orange hair, tan skin and blue eyes smiled warmly at him. "Sorry Marco" she sat next to him and stared with him at the world below. "Hey Marco, I have a present for you" she said. Marco looked at her confused "what is it?" he asked. "I got us permission to go back to Earth and live again" Miko said looking up at her friend. Marco looked at her "Miko that isn't funny" "I'm not joking, you can see your friends again" she said. Marco stared at her tears in his eyes, hand covering his mouth. "Eren, Mikasa, Armin…Jean" Marco whispered to himself.
"And don't forget I'm coming with you" Miko said. Marco looked at his African angel friend and gave her a bone crushing hug, warm tears running down his face. "Miko!" he called gripping her tightly. Said person rubbed her friends back comfortingly, whispering sweet words in his ear. When he finally calmed down he looked up at Miko "what's the catch" he said. Miko blinked "excuse me?" she asked. "What's the catch?" Marco repeated. Miko chuckled "He said we just have to protect somebody named Eren Jeager, whoever that is" she said. Marco looked at her for a moment the burst into a fit of laughter. Miko raised an eyebrow at him "what's so funny?" she asked. Marco calmed down, "that is one of my friends, I know him really well" he said getting the last of his laughter out. Miko smiled at him, she had never seen her friend so happy. "Well Marco let's go home and get some sleep, we leave first thing tomorrow. Miko said standing up and holding her hand out to Marco. He gave her a big smile accepting her hand "yes" he said.
~Back on Earth~
Jean sneezed as he ate his dinner. "Bless you" Armin said "thank you" he replied. "You know that means someone is talking about you" Mikasa pointed out. Jean snarled "It's probably that bastard Eren" he said. Reiner chuckled "Or someone could be talking about you in heaven, you ever thought of that?" he said. "I doubt it" Jean scoffed. "You never know" Reiner started "Ever heard the phrase things aren't always what they seem" he said taking a sip of his drink.
