A/N: Just saw the new Movie, thought I'd write a drabble. it turned into a double Drabble...

At Last

He knows she'll always be there. He knew before he ever heard her voice again, knew before he came back to Narnia, but he'd forced himself to ignore it then, to forget. But now she's there, looking him in the eye again, and he knows. She will always be there, in the back of his mind. Always.

Even as his sword glows blue, even as he plunges it into the sea monsters mouth, and even as she disappears, he knows that she will always be there, in the back of his mind: a constant reminder of who he once was, of what he once did.

But he also knows she doesn't have power over him anymore. He doesn't have to force himself to forget her. She has no power over him now. The reminder is not one of shame, not any more, now it is pride. He has come so far since then. He has ruled Narnia, he has led armies. Knowing what he's done, remembering who he was, it doesn't hurt as much anymore because he knows who he is now.

She has no power now, not even over him. He is King Edmund. He has won at last.
