Ch.1: Getting your partner!
I stood at the entrance of a cave with my five friends as our instructor, , rambled on about his 3 pets, Phyzzy, Chemmy and Bio.
Finally Stephen, the craziest of the bunch spoke up.
"Uh, Sir? When are actually we going in?"
Sir looked over at him.
"Hmm? Oh yes! Do you all have your bags?"
"YEAH!" we all chorused.
" This is gonna be awesome!" said Francesca, my BFF. "You excited, Jenny?"
"Hell yeah!" I replied.
My name is Jenny Cunningham. Like the other 5 in my group I'm 14. The other 5 people in our group are Lauren Doyle, Francesca Leonard, Joseph Hennessy, Stephen Byrne and Emma Kennedy. Now, what are we so excited about? You see for as long as we can remember, people of our village, Rochfortbridge get a pet that always helps us through our lives at the age of 14. Most people in other parts have dogs or ponies. We have Dragons. And today is the day us 6 get our dragons! "Alrighty then," said . "3, 2, 1, GO!" All of us ran in with our egg bags to get our dragon eggs which would contain the dragons which would be our future partners! As the others were tip-toeing around the sleeping dragons looking for eggs, I saw a beautiful looking Ice Dragon egg! As I went to grab it, it fell right on a dragon…and it woke up! "RUN!" I yelled as I took off. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" asked Lauren. "It was an accident!" I replied as we all ran. Everyone had an egg except me. Then I saw an egg on the way out so I grabbed it and threw it into my egg bag. I didn't know what dragon it was but I didn't care. We made it out in one piece! It was November so the dragons were hibernating and (even the Ice Dragons!) didn't like the cold. We all looked at our eggs. Lauren got an Ice Dragon. Emma got a Grass Dragon. Joseph got an Earth Dragon. Stephen got a Fire Dragon. Francesca got an Electric Dragon. And me? I didn't know what dragon it was and I'm an expert! When I showed it to , he was shocked. When he told me, we all gasped!
"Jenny, that is the rare Crystal Dragon!"
