Okay... something I just randomly came up with... with a bit of influence from Black Cat overdose (don't ask!).

This time, his hands didn't tremble. This time, he didn't look away. The agony which once tore at his heart was no longer there.
It was all just so ironic. Around him, the gentle breeze toyed with the long, green grass. The clouds drifted serenely in the bright blue sky. The flowers danced in the field, their flamboyant colors stretching across the meadow. Before him, the clear lake glittered under the faint light of the sun that managed to escape the leaves of the towering trees. It was just so… peaceful. So happy. So carefree. Everything was as it had been moments before… The evidence had disappeared into the lake, along with the traces of the deed.
At last, he turned away, not from horror, but from contentment knowing that his task at last been completed.
"Wolf?" came a familiar voice behind him. "What are you doing here?"
Wolf raised his head and saw Panther looking at him with concern. He started, as if to say something, but then stopped in the midst of his thoughts.
"Hey… if there's nothing, then let's go," the sleek velvet-furred cat offered while half-extending a paw. Wolf hesitated again, and then gave one of his rare smiles.
"You're right. Let's go."
The two walked back together, retracing their steps. Soon, silence returned to where they once stood, and all traces of their existence erased themselves as the grass sprung back up anew...
A harsh wind blew, rustling the leaves of the trees, making the grass sway. The water then lapped at the lakebed, greedily swallowing the last streak of crimson which the earth could soak up no longer.
