Title: Are we there yet?
Summary: The first time it happened, Sasuke was annoyed. The second it happened, Sasuke was scared. The third time it happened, well, Sasuke didn't mind one bit.

Are we there yet?
The first time it happened, Sasuke was annoyed.
" Are we there yet?"
" No."
" Oh." A minute later. "…Are we there yet?"
" No!!"
Sasuke shot his all-too-famous 'Uchiha death glare' at his partner, who was, by now, completely immune. Then again, Sasuke reckoned, it had never worked on him before.
" So… Are we –"
" Uzumaki Naruto. I swear to god, that if you ask that question one more time, there will be no ramen for you in the next twelve months."
" Eep!!"
" Do not make me threaten about no sex." Sasuke warned.
" Double eep!!"
Sasuke smirked. Sure, the last threat was a double-edged, but at least it shut his boyfriend – correction, mission partner – up.
The second time it happened, Sasuke was scared.
Sasuke dashed through the forest at the fastest speed his legs would allow.
They were ambushed by a large group of shinobis, all at Jounin ranks; some higher. To make things worse, the shinobis were from Iwagakura.
Most of them seemed to attack Naruto, who held them off with the help of his Kage Bunshins. However, the amount of shinobis attacking Naruto forced the blond to use Kyuubi's chakra.
Soon, it was obvious that against the large number of shinobis, even ANBUs like Naruto and Sasuke had to retreat. With two Konohagakura shinobis against the many Iwagakura shinobis, clearly they were at an disadvantage.
It was, when they started to retreat, when it happened. Naruto was stabbed through his chest in the back. And once or twice more.
Sasuke swallowed the gasp and grabbed Naruto, dashing back in the direction where they came from.
" Ne… Sa… S'ke…"
Sasuke looked down at the blond.
" Are… we… there yet…?" Naruto asked, grinning weakly.
" Yeah. We're there. Just a little more. Stay with me, Naruto." Sasuke replied, looking down worriedly at the blond.
" M'Kay…"
The third time it happened, Sasuke didn't mind one bit.
A month later, the duo was moving through the forest on a separate mission.
" Sasukeee!!" Naruto whined. " Are we there yet?"
Sasuke groaned. " No. We are not there yet. You know as well as I do, that it takes three days to get to Suna."
"But Sasuke!!" Naruto continued. " It is the third day!! Are we there yet?"
" Dammit, Naruto!!" Sasuke growled. He tackled Naruto and pinned him to the nearest tree and kissed the blond to shut him up.
In the end, the duo ended up a few hours late at Sunagakura, but Sasuke had decided that maybe, just maybe, he didn't mind Naruto asking the question after all. Not when Sasuke had the means to shut Naruto up.
