Tough Luck
His name echoed through the wind, chiming with the sounds of a new dawn as I held my breath in the open air.
He was all around me, yet I felt so alone.
His bony and ice cold fingertips chilled me to my very core, and it was then that I was able to taste the bitterness of his sorrow.
My lips trembled at his touch, though to him this only brought forth disgust.
What was it in me that longed to hold him even in his stubborn state, for when I had fought to break through his walls, a dagger to my soul he would not hesitate.
An easy target, to him I was just a game. He teased and he wept, but foolish me I would only beg.
Beg for him to let me in, and to never throw my love away.
I didn't want my soul; it was no use to me anymore. Throw it away, keep it or burn it to ashes. Nothing mattered for it was Sasuke's passion.
I loved him hard, and it made me weak. Love is not a blessing, nor is it a curse. For me, it is simply tough luck.
