AN: One of my personal favorite scenarios for the Swarkles wedding. Enjoy, guys!

The ceremony went over as planned, despite the crazy events earlier in the day. Barney and Robin had just finished their extravagant first dance- which went off without a hitch, as Barney had expected.
The newly weds were now slowly swaying to the music. Barney had convinced the band to learn Sandcastles in the Sand, despite all of Robin's protests upon finding out about these plans (Barney had kept them secret up until two weeks ago, when Robin had walked in on a phone call between him and the lead singer).
Barney twirled Robin out and back into his arms, holding tightly. She adjusted her arms around his neck. "Well, Scherbatsky-" Barney began, but quirked his eyebrows; the two had never very seriously broached the subject of whether she'd be changing her name. "Can I still call you that? Or are you Mrs. Stinson now?" he emphasized the name with a wink, and Robin laughed. "We'll talk about it later, Mr. Stinson." she retorted, taking on the same tone Barney had used.
He grinned and kissed her quickly. "As I was saying, Scherbatsky, we made it."
Robin smiled back at him. They had made it. All the uncertainty and the arguing and the compromise...it'd brought them to the finish line, which, in spite of all the complications, they had crossed. "We did, didn't we?" she agreed, thoughtful, because the realization hadn't truly set in until Barney had mentioned it.
"Yeah, we did." Barney squeezed her waist. "No more bimbos, or living the single life, or pining for each other."
With a small laugh, Robin raised her eyebrows. "You sure you're okay?" she half-joked.
Barney nodded. "I am." He took Robin's hand, fiddling with her ring. After a moment, he continued to sway with her. "Besides, you're better than every bimbo in the world combined."
Robin smiled at Barney. It was sweet, in his own way. She took it as one of his twisted compliments, knowing that, despite how it sounded, it was meant to be sincere.
They kissed again, this one deeper, moving in lazy circles as the band began a new song.
"You're not so bad yourself," Robin said breathlessly once they'd both pulled away.
It was her own twisted compliment. She wanted to tell him how much she loved him, how grateful she was, how she couldn't wait to start this new life, together. But there would be time for that later, weeks and months and years for them to tell each other everything.
