Chapter 1
Scott woke calmly to the sun rising slowly over the fields where his Pappy was plowing. He sighed happily. This was the day he would join the Total Drama cast. Scott had dreamt he won the million dollars and spoiled himself and his Pappy with a new house, better farm equipment, and lots of nice things in general. He didn't have a lot of nice things in reality. They couldn't afford extras, and money wasn't coming in as much as it did before. Scott secretly hoped that once he got to Camp Wawanakwa, he could find a girl with him on the island, get together with her, win Total Drama, and settle down in a nice house with the girl far away from the farm. It would be a better life for both him and his Pappy. Scott got up from his bed and walked over to his tiny kitchen. He poured a bowl of cereal for himself and wolfed it down. He ran outside to his Pappy, and together they drove to the marina in the city. Scott said his goodbyes, and promised to win the million. He stepped onto the yacht and waved as it drove away from the dock.
Dawn was nearly exploding with excitement when she stepped onto the yacht that was to take her to Camp Wawanakwa. She had never been away from home for more than two days, and she was happy to leave for a while. Dawn hoped that her fellow contestants would accept her gift of aura reading and become her friends. She was quite often lonely at home and hoped that would change for the better. She waved goodbye to her parents as the boat drove away from the dock and turned around to greet the others. Dawn looked at everyone and introduced herself. She met these people: Jo, a very strong, tomboyish girl with a winning attitude; Brick, a very nice guy who went to cadet camp for many years; B, a silent guy with a big heart(Dawn knew this only by reading his aura. He didn't speak otherwise.); Zoey, a kind girl who seemed to like everybody, although she had a lonely childhood(according to her aura); Mike, a sweet, fun guy with MPD(Multiple Personality Disorder); and him. Scott, a very unkind and rude person. Dawn didn't know what was the matter with her. He seemed so terrible, but she couldn't help but love him. His eyes, his hair, everything. She could see that inside, he was a kind and sensitive person. She just didn't understand why he was hiding his true self behind false cruelty and unkindness.
