Avengers vs the internet! This is basically going to be a collection of drabbles about the Avengers dealing with the internet.
Content warning for this chapter: Meta mentions of Thorki and Loki being a major troll to poor non internet savvy Thor. Can y'all tell that I wrote this before Endgame came out? Oops.
Loki smirked as he finally saved the file that he had spent the last few hours compiling together.
He had come across the fan art on his many internet wandering sessions before but this was the first time he had really looked into it and oh, what an... interesting time he had.
Explicit art of himself and Thor was definitely not what he was expecting but then again, the internet had long ago proved itself to be a place of madness. Just the sort of thing he could work with.
Some of them, Loki found, were rather underwhelming, for lack of a better term (why was he almost always the submissive partner in these? Have some imagination, Midgardians.) but most of them did not bother him much.
But he knew they would certainly bother Thor. And that's exactly why he was compiling a large file of them to send to him.
It didn't take Loki very long to finish it up and when he did, he opened up Facebook (one of the few social media accounts Peter Parker had convinced Thor to set up. "To spread the word of your noble deeds" apparently. How very Thor like that logic was.) and waited for Thor to come online.
Fortunately, it did not take very long.
"Hello brother."
Loki typed, grinning.
"GREETINGS BROTHER OF MINE MAN OF SPIDERS IS INTRODUCING ME TO THE MIDGARDIAN REALM OF TWITTER TODAY"
Came the capitalised wall of text that was simultaneously irritating, hilarious and very typically Thor a few seconds later. Because of course he still hadn't figured out caps lock, the shift key or Midgardian punctuation, to the annoyance of everyone. Well okay, more to Loki's annoyance but still.
After taking a deep breath and a moment for his eyes to recover from the text brick thrown at them, Loki continued to type.
"That's great Thor. I believe I can help you alongside Parker with that."
A few seconds passed.
"REALLY? THANK YOU LOKI. MAN OF SPIDERS WISHES TO KNOW WHAT IT IS YOU WISH TO HELP ME WITH"
Alright, so Parker was in the vicinity; possibly even looking right over Thor's shoulder, judging from the minor improvement in punctuation. That meant that Loki would have to be less blatant about it. Thor was very easy to fool online but Parker would most likely see the deception coming from a mile off and that would certainly ruin all the fun.
"I have discovered that many Midgardians have created art of us. They call it fan art. I wanted to show you some."
Loki thought about it for a second and then added.
"They've certainly captured your vitality, brother. There's art of myself also."
It didn't take long for Thor to respond.
"SHOW ME THIS FAN ART. I WISH TO SEE IT."
And so, Loki did, laughing happily as he sent the file of smut.
Needless to say, Stark Tower needed to make many lightning damage repairs on the inside that day.
