Everyone wants something; you just don't know what until it's too late…

As I woke up, a bright light shines before me. Daniel. It had to be!

"Lucinda Price, you're under arrest for the murder of Penny weather Van Syckle-Lockwood!"

"I had nothing to do with that! It was Mrs. Sophia! Please, you have to believe me!"

"Lucinda...Luce…!"

I finally woke up to Daniel's sweet, soft voice.

We fell asleep under the old oak tree near my home in Georgia earlier. We've been through everything together, but nothing was even close to what he was saying now…death. He tries to protect me from disasters (and trust me, there's been a lot!) but he's worried there's something more sinister coming. He was climbing up the tree and calling down to me at the same time. The whole time we were there though, somebody was watching us…I didn't see anyone however. I just knew somebody, maybe Cam, was there. I decided to take matters into my own hands and find out what was there.

"Luce, get back here!" Daniel cried.

I didn't say a word. As quietly as I could, I opened the cluster of bushes close to us, and found a blue jay caught in the tree trying to get home. I helped it and watched its tiny wondrous wings soar above us. It landed right into the bird's nest in the tallest tree I saw. I snuck a peek at Daniel and saw him staring up at the bird's nest, and then his violet eyes turned to me. We've been seeing each other for almost three years now, and still his eyes staring at me eventually resulted in me blushing.

All of a sudden, we heard footsteps.

"What was that, Daniel?"

"I'll bet its Cam."

Just then he came through the trees with not only Lucifer at his side, but a whole army! He and Daniel exchanged a few words, but I didn't really pay much attention to them. Arianne, Gabbe, and Roland came with their army of angels, and then the real battle happened. I hid behind a tree and obeyed everything Daniel said.

"Stay here or they'll kill you. I love you Luce and I won't let anything happen to you!"

He had a long passionate kiss afterwards, and he left. He left me to see the battle, he left me to see everyone I've known for a while fight each other, but most importantly, he left me to see him die at Cam's hand! I ran to him screaming in terror as black blood dripped from his chest. I turned to see everyone in a circle with Daniel's body, Cam, and me inside.

"My brother died for nothing…that's what you are, nothing! Why must he die for you? You didn't deserve him; it's you who deserves to die!"

"He fought you, because he loves me. But I didn't kill him, you did!"

A bolt of lightning shot down from the sky and nearly hit me. I saw Cam's face turn from sympathetic to pure evil.

"You deserve to die…YOU deserve to die…" that's all Cam would say at that point.

Everyone started saying that too, and coming closer. Lucifer handed Cam a stake…I remember that stake. Daniel says one stab from that stake will kill you in the blink of an eye. He plunged it into my heart, and then everything just turned dark as night.

Everybody wants something; you just don't know what until it's too late. Cam and Lucifer wanted me dead (and never reincarnated again) and that's what they got. I didn't realize that it took the two so long to actually get rid of me until now…just wondrously floating around…dead.

Daniel appeared before me, and then we were flying…I had wings! Real angel wings! He held me to him, and we kissed passionately just like we did at the battlefield. Evil may have taken my life, but they couldn't take away the only one thing we have now…love.
