Edmund Pevensie was sitting in his room at Cair Paravel, when he saw Ice forming on his wardrobe. The warm room was taken over by coldness and he heard a cackle. "Thought you could get rid of me, huh?"
It was Her. He recognized the voice as belonging to the Witch. Breathing fast, he gazed into her cold, calculating eyes.
He shuddered. "Go away!"
She whispered into his ear. "Remember betraying your siblings for candy?"
The memory was in his mind clear as day, haunting every move. How could he forget. He was selfish, greedy and hated his siblings. He mistaken their love for him for hatred and this had caused him to vengefully do a terrible thing. "No. No. I siad I was sorry. Aslan died for me and rose from the dead. He defeated you!"
Cold eyes glared at him. "Is that what you think?"
Edmund yelled, "I know it's true! Go away!"
The back of his mind was starting to doubt, whether anything he said was true. Suddenly, the feeling that he had while he was in the dungeon came to him. "Peter! "Lucy!"
The Witch cackled. "They left you. They no longer love you."
He could see Peter, Susan and Lucy's cold, disappointed faces. "I'm sorry! I really am!"
Lucy could hear the sound of her brother's cries while she was in her room, trying to sleep. She rushed down the hall, to see Edmund twisting and turning. He was crying, "I'm sorry! Please don't leave me!"
She could only guess what this was about. She rushed to him, stroking his hair. THis only made his cries louder. "NO! Aslan! Help!"
She put her hand on his shoulder. "Edmund, Please wakeup. You're having a nightmare."
Her voice was drowned out by the screaming and crying. "Ed!"
She bent over on him. "What's wrong?"
His brown eyes opened wide, as he scanned the dimly lit room in Cair Paravel. He held his sister in his arms for dear life. "Lucy. I'm sorry," he repeated over and over breathlessly. "I love you Lucy."
She hugged him back. "I know. It's okay. We forgave you."
Relieved, he answered "Thanks."
