Inuyasha gives Kagome an answer, it doesn't matter what the question was. * It doesn't matter what the question is, it's the fact that Inuyasha told Kagome yes without giving her the perpetual hard time, and the happiness she shares with her friends.

"Yes?" Kagome asked in disbelief.

"Yes." Inuyasha replied sincerely.

"Yes!" Kagome squealed, jumping up and down, laughing. She threw her arms around her mate, laughing wildly. Inuyasha threw his arms around her waist, swinging her in a circle. Her enthusiasm was contagious and he was now sporting a smile all his own.

"What's all the noise?" Sango called from Kaede's hut, coming out to see the two laughing fools stopping mid-circle for a kiss.

"Sango! He said yes!" Sango rushed to the pair, throwing her arms around Kagome.

"That's wonderful, Kagome! Miroku!"

"Hai, Sango," came the monks reply as he walked up to join the group.

"Inuyasha said yes! Can you believe it?" Sango turned to her husband, hugging him warmly.

"Wonderful news, Lady Kagome! Inuyasha!" The monk said, clapping his friend on the back.

Everyone turned as Kaede came forward to join the group. Inuyasha and Kagome we clearly celebrating, and she had noticed Sango and Miroku leaving her hut as she was starting stew for supper. Shippo came bouncing up behind her to see what all the noise was about. Hopping into Kagome's arms, he looked at her questioningly.

"Kagome, what's going on?"

Kagome smiled widely at the kitsune in her arms. Hugging him closely, she looked at Inuyasha, waiting for his permission to tell the kit the good news. With a nod, Inuyasha signaled his approval.

"Shippo, Inuyasha said yes."

"He did?!" The kit could barely contain himself as he jumped from Kagome's arms onto Inuyasha's shoulder, hugging his head tightly.

"You told her yes, Inuyasha?" Shippo squealed loudly into the hanyou's sensitive ears.

"Oi, runt, not so loud!" he barked, removing his kitsune headgear. "Yeah, I told her yes."

"Congratulations, you two. This is wonderful news, indeed." Kaede offered, smiling. She could hardly believe it.
