Inuyasha hated this part. He had made Kagome so mad she had gone home (again), and he was left to sit in the village to wait on her to stop being mad and come back (again). In the mean time he was getting dirty looks from Sango (again), Miroku sat shaking his head (again), and Shippo was wailing that he made Kagome mad and maybe she won't come back this time (again). Seemed to him this sort of thing happened pretty often. Especially where Kikyo was involved. He was beginning to think there was a pattern developing.
Yeah, well, so what. Kikyo was his business and didn't concern any of them. So what if he answered every time she called. So what, because wolf boy sure did chase after Kagome, and she was always so nice to him when he did. So what if they ended up in worse positions because his head wasn't clear after seeing Kikyo. As he sat, Inuyasha continued to "so what" and "even though" himself right into a corner. He couldn't deny Kikyo just messed him up in the worst way when she came around, and his group, Kagome, suffered for it.
Well, shit.
Getting up he walked to the well, planning to catch up with Kagome and do something so she wouldn't be mad at him anymore. Except by the time he got there, she was already climbing out.
"Hey."
"Hey."
Giving him a small smile, Kagome nodded. Small smile and nod returned, then followed her back to the village.
