I've never seen Danny happier than when he is with Steve and Grace. While Grace is his world, Steve is his everything. How Rachel let Danny go without hating herself is beyond me but I can see the differences in her and Steve. I can understand how the relationship Danny and Steve have work while the one with Rachel didn't.

Steve and Rachel are similar in the sense that they both are passionate and love very deeply and the obvious physical similarities. But Steve and Danny fit in a way that Danny couldn't with Rachel. They all argue and fight until it just doesn't make sense anymore but Steve and Danny fight because they care. Fights with Rachel became about anger and pain.

And while Rachel let fear control the relationship, Steve uses it any way he can as an advantage, to protect Danny, not push him away.

I'd be the first person to tell you that Danny is made of fire and heart. It shows every day. That kind of heart shouldn't be contained or put out like Rachel wanted. It should be matched and encouraged the way Steve does every second of every day.

I'm happy Danny finally found someone who loves him and his beautiful daughter more than anything in the world. Someone to hold him, not hurt him. He deserves the best life has to offer after all of the pain he's been through and I know Steve would never give anything but his best.

It still hurts to think about Danny with someone else after wanting him for so long but I know he wasn't made for me. He's happy with Steve and I would never do anything to harm our friendship. The right person for me will show up one day. Until then I have Steve and Danny and Kono to entertain me.

Suddenly I hear a loud shriek coming from the direction of Steve's office. "OH MY GOD! NOT IN THE OFFICE! GO HOME! NOW!" A figure runs past my door and I turn my head to see Steve and Danny coming out of Steve's office, their hair and clothes messed up.

I get up and lean out my door. "Just wait until we're gone for lunch next time. Don't touch the table. And if you break something I'm not paying for it." I walk in the direction Kono went as their laughter follows me.

I know it was short. I've been really busy this week. Hopefully I'll have something better for you next week.
