"I want at least five people guarding the camp at all times." Bellamy told Miller as they walked out of the landing pod and into the cold damp air. "Did you send out the patrols like I said?"

"Yup, both of them." The younger boy nodded nodded, "Believe me, Bellamy, no grounder is getting anywhere near this camp."

"Good. We should also probably-"

"Bellamy!" Someone shouted behind them. Both boys spun around and saw none other than the little blond princess, Clarke Griffin, walking their way.

Bellamy patted Miller on the back, "Give us a sec." he said. Miller just nodded his head and then walked off to talk to the other militia members of their camp. "So what can I help you with, Princess?" Bellamy smirked, "Has Jaha found another bunker for us to plunder?"

"No," She shook her head, "Finn has arranged a meeting with the grounders. They want to make a truce."

"You're not serious," Bellamy frowned and shook his head, "There is no way in hell I will ever agree to talk to them."

"You don't have to," She pulled her lips into a thin line, "I will."

"Clarke, no-"

"Bellamy listen," She raised her hand, "We don't want a war-"

"Speak for yourself." He grunted.

"And I don't think they do either." She ignored his last comment. "I think we just all got off on the wrong foot."

"Is that you talking or spacewalker?" Bellamy narrowed his eyes.

She just rolled her eyes, "Point is, I'm going. But I'd like it if you would come with us as back up…. with the guns."

He crossed his arms, "I don't think this is a good idea."

"Probably not, but it's worth a shot." She replied firmly. "Don't you think?"

Bellamy paused, "Finn doesn't know you're asking me to come, does he?"

"Not yet, but he will. Finn may be ready to trust the grounders blindly, but after what happened on your trip to find Octavia, I'm certainly not." She let out a frustrated sigh and closed her eyes, "We need to be ready in case things don't work out the way they're supposed to."

"You mean if they try to kill you."

"Yes." She nodded and looked him in the eye, "Okay? So are you in or not?"

"Yeah." He nodded, "I'll come, but I'm bringing some other people to come with us too. I doubt just me with a gun, even a semi automatic one, isn't going to cut it with these people."

"That's fine." She nodded and turned back the way she came. "We leave tomorrow at dawn. Be ready."

"Wait." He grabbed her by the arm and spun back towards him, "Why are you even including me on this? You could have just get someone else to drag along and play bodyguard for you. Why come to me?"

"Because I trust you, Bellamy." Clarke said finally, then pulled her arm away, leaving Bellamy silently behind her.
