Chapter 1
The prince walked down the corridor towards the counsel. They would discus his duties, and his wife-to-be. He had to find someone that had other things in mind that gold and wealth. He was sick of all those girls who were standing in queues out in front of the castle just waiting for him to pick them as his wife.
His father, the king, had been to fast to make this news official. The prince didn't like it at all. But his adviser, and best friend, would help him choose.
He opened the doors and took his usual seat.
His father started the meeting by explaining all of them why they were here.
The prince didn't find it interesting and started thinking of more important matters.
When the king had finished everyone applaud – the prince didn't know why – and sat back down in his seat.
"Prince Lune, why don't you go to the human world? Perhaps you will find something interesting there." His father asked. "Just look. She may not be a cat but it would be no problem if she came here," he continued, pointing at the mirror with a girl's face on it.
"Our messengers had watched her since she saved a cat from drowning. They thought she would be what you were looking for."
Indeed. She was very beautiful with her eyes shinning with kindness, her brown hair hanging down to her shoulders. She would indeed be perfect for the position as his princess.
But little did he know that another cat watched her with the same interest.

Haru walked down the street toward the café, saying 'hi' to her favourite white fatso on the way inside. She took her apron and made coffee and then went over to make tea.
"Wow, Haru," a voice behind her said, nearly giving her a heart attack, "have you even had gotten a little sleep this time or have you pulled an all-nighter again?" Her friend said, while examining the dark rings under her eyes.
"Well… I couldn't sleep. Before I knew it I had been writing the whole night."
Her friend gave her a look.
"I know you have gotten a boyfriend but don't you realise that he is on the other side of the world now?"
"I can't help it. He's working a lot when it is day over there and when he comes home he's too tired to write. And I want to write with him."
"Make him sacrifice a little too. It's no good for you not to sleep. I will take your shift, now go home and rest before coming back tomorrow. If I see as much of a sign of a black ring under your eye I will personally force-feed you sleeping pills," Hiromi said threading.
"Alright," Haru sighed. Why couldn't people just leave her alone? She was perfectly fine the way she was now. Because even though Machida – yes she finally confessed – had gone abroad to study in law school, she was perfectly fine by just writing with him. After all she had already gotten him as a boyfriend but she would probably have to wait another six months before seeing him again for summer holidays.
She went up the stairs to her flat and opened the door. Tired she lay down on her couch.
Almost sleeping she saw an orange cat in her living room. She gasped.
The orange cat had a beige suit and a matching top hat. His eyes sparkled like emeralds and she couldn't take her eyes of him.
Wow, he's cool, she thought.
The cat bowed like a gentleman and said, "Hello. My name is Baron Humbert von Gikkingen, but I prefer Baron. I am the Prince's personal advisor and I have come for you. The prince will be delighted to see you."
He held out his hand to the shocked girl who suddenly fainted into the strong arms.

When Haru woke up she smelled a scent of roses, lavender, peppermint, camomile and something else that she didn't have a name for. She looked around and starred at the beautiful home. It wasn't hers that was for sure. It was small and cosy and had light-green and yellow coloured walls. A chandelier was under the ceiling and she found herself sitting on a red couch.
"I'm terribly sorry for giving you such a shock, Miss Haru. But you see both the King and the Prince of Cat Kingdom want to meet you in a hurry. I'm only the one that has been sent to get you."
"Beeh-ron?" she asked hesitantly.
"Ba-ron to be exact." he smiled at her making her blush a little.
"How come I have to meet the prince of the Cat Kingdom? I'm not even a cat."
Baron poured hot tea in a sweet little cup. "Which do you prefer, milk or lemon?" he asked ignoring her question.
"Milk, please"
"Good choice."
"Wait, how come I'm the same size as you?" she asked confused wondering if she was having a dream.
"Well, to be honest I cast a little spell on you which would make you shrink. I hope you can forgive me for doing such a thing without your permission but as you see it would have been rather difficult to get you here in your regular size.
And you are about 4 inches lower than me, to be precise."
Giving her the cup of warm tea he smiled again, a warm smile which made her feel something she hadn't felt in a long time.
"So is this Prince cool like you?" she asked, not even regretting for saying such a thing so bluntly.
Baron blushed.
"I wouldn't lie if I said that he was a brilliant man. He is even my best friend," he answered, sipping some of his tea.
Haru sipped too.
"Wow, this is the best tea I have ever tasted." she said while putting the cup on a little table.
"Then you're lucky. It's my own personal tea blend so I can never guarantee the flavour."
A white cat burst the door open and a black crow came in of a window.
"What's the point of this?" The fat white cat asked, "Why did you send Toto to help me on my mission? I thought you said I had to get the-"
"I send him out to help you because I knew you somehow would get into trouble on the way, which you actually did," Baron interrupted the white cat, smiling.
The crow gave the white cat a hit on the head with his wing. "Now Muta, let's go outside for a moment and let Baron take care of the girl."
"Moo-tah?" Haru asked dumbfounded.
"WHAT?! MOO!? Are you saying I'm a fat cow?" The white cat yelled out angrily.
"No," Haru said, "I'm just saying you're fat… oh," realising what she just said she held her hands up to her mouth.
She saw Baron lift his cane and Muta was shot outside, with the crow mumbling to Baron, "I like her even more for every second." And then he flew outside too.

The next day Baron told Haru that he would take her to the Cat Kingdom and show her around. She gladly accepted, and the orange cat smiled at her in response. Muta and Toto stayed home because Baron didn't want Haru to feel stressed from their usual fights.
Haru saw the portal open and when Baron took Haru's hand, to lead her, she blushed a bit, walking through the electric blue light.
