Prologue
CLARY POV
It's the first day of the last year of my high school career. While I was happy about this fact, my brother Jonathan, well he's less than thrilled; he was only going into grade eleven and just was not as happy about the first day of school coming around.
"Jon, you have two minutes before I leave without you!" I called up the stairs impatiently.
"I'm coming, I'm coming! Keep your pants on!" Jon is clearly not a morning person, I thought to myself. He came down the stairs slowly and walked out the door in front of me. I locked up the house and got into the car where Jon was impatiently waiting. He doesn't get to be impatient; I was the one waiting for him for half an hour, I thought as I started the car and drove to school.
I pulled into a parking space and got out of the car.
"I'll meet you here today after school, Jon."
"'Kay, see you then." Jon turned and walked away.
I was headed to the office to get my time table for the school year.
I got to the office 'just in time' according to the secretary.
"Just in time for what, exactly?" I asked politely.
"Young Jace here is new; you guys have all the same classes; would you mind showing him around?"
"Sure, shouldn't be a problem." I turned to see the most attractive guy I think I've ever seen. He had golden curly hair and eyes a girl could get lost in- something tells me that they do- frequently, and toned muscles that were visible even through his black t-shirt. I realized that I was staring and quickly got myself in check. "Hey, I'm Clary; I guess you're stuck with me, since we have all of our classes together."
"I'm Jace, and I don't know if I'll have a problem with that, beautiful." Oh, great, he's one of those.
JACE POV
New school, first day, great I am so not looking forward to this.
I'm in the office at my new school getting my time table and information about where my classes are, when this girl with crazy red curls walks in.
"Oh, you are just in time!"
"Just in time for what, exactly?" she asked politely.
"Young, Jace, here is new; you guys have all the same classes, would you mind showing him around?"
"Sure, shouldn't be a problem," she said. When she turned around revealing that her eyes were the most gorgeous shade of jade green that I had ever seen, and her red hair made her eyes pop. She is without a doubt the most subtly attractive girl that I have ever seen.
"Hey, I'm Clary; I guess you're stuck with me, since we have all of our classes together."
"I'm Jace, and I don't know if I'll have a problem with that, beautiful," I said truthfully.
I didn't want to load this chapter with too much info because it is just the first chapter, but please R&R it would be the most amazing thing ever! Oh, goal 5 reviews!
